Welcome to the first installment of Rox's ELY Power Rankings. I will continually update these rankings and I will start of with 5 teams which may grow later.

Week 8

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings Pfiobtreaq7j0pzvadktsc6jv
1. Seattle Seahawks

Seattle Seahawks handily grab the first spot on this week's power rankings due to a total record of 25-0. They currendly have the least amount of points allowed in the league. They are seemingly unstoppable and  are coming off a hard fought game with the then undefeated Lions going into this week to take on the last year's runner-up Cleveland Browns who sit at 5-1.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 403
2. Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals have started out with the best record of all teams this year sitting at 7-0. They have three of those seven wins coming on the road. Another strong point is that they only have allowed 100 points on these first seven games. A stat only the Seahawks and Eagles beat who have one game less played. The Bengals face a seemingly easy matchup facing the 3-3 Steelers this week.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings F1wggq2k8ql88fe33jzhw641u
3. Carolina Panthers

Carolina have come out the gates swinging. They are on a 6-0 tear and have the best scoring offense in the league. They are the only ones with over 300 points sitting at 337 points scored in six games. Which is just above 56 points per game. With a blazing hot offense the Panthers head to Tennessee to take on the 2-5 Titans.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 960
4. Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles are on a 6-0 record going into this week's matchup with the 1-6 49ers. They are coming off a bye week and have made a string of trades this year to improve their defense and their chances at the Lombardi Trophy. They have brought in new CBs from San Fransisco, acquired MLB Brad Jones from Green Bay, traded for OLB Jabaal Sheard and DT Phil Taylor from Cleveland, and lastly snatched up TE Colby Fleener from the Colts. With these new acquisitions Eagles are fielding a talented team and is 2nd in points allowed this year. This is a team to be on the lookout for as the season continues.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 2ioheczrkmc2ibc42c9r
5. Cleveland Browns

The 5-1 Browns manage to squeak by the 6-1 Lions for the last spot on our power rankings this week due to the Lions losing to the Seahawks and the Browns are heading into a matchup with Seattle this week. The Browns have been active with trades, trading for RG Dan Connolly from the Patriots and DT Kyle Williams from the Bills. Cleveland is looking to improve on their last year's performance and win the Superbowl.

The Rankings will continue each week. Check back next week for updates!

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings Empty Week 9

Post by Rox Tue Mar 18, 2014 6:49 pm

Week 9

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings Pfiobtreaq7j0pzvadktsc6jv
1. (1) Seattle Seahawks
Record 7-0

Seattle brought home the #1 spot on the ranking this week. They beat the Browns in a Super Bowl rematch and improve to 26-0 through two seasons. They head into a CPU matchup vs the Baltimore Ravens and should hold on to their undefeated streak for another week as Marshawn Lynch aims to break 1000 yards in eight games. Look for Seattle to have a great defensive showing, proving that they are the #1 defense. Currently they are 2nd in points allowed, trailing the Eagles.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 403
2. (2) Cincinnati Bengals
Record 8-0

Cincinnati is an undefeated team and the only team sitting at a comfortable eight wins. They are heading into a bye week which will be a nice change of pace and rest for the team. Due to Browns losing the Bengals has shaped up to be the favorite to win AFC North and probably the AFC as a whole as they sit two games in front of Raiders. in the AFC. They are third in points allowed but they are outscoring both Eagles and Seahawks who are in front of them on the defensive side of the ball. There is not much else to mention this week since they are heading into a bye week but keep your eye on next week when the other undefeated teams catch up.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings F1wggq2k8ql88fe33jzhw641u
3. (3) Carolina Panthers
Record 7-0

There's not much change in the Power Rankings as Panthers grab the third spot again. They are comfortably winning their games and they have the best scoring offense in the league. They have really stepped up their defensive side and are sitting at a +266 in net points. That's over 100 more net point to the 2nd team, Eagles. Carolina is heading into a matchup with the 4-3 Colts. Some interesting stats in Carolina are that Super Cam is almost at 2300 passing yards on the season, Barner has almost broken 1400 rushing yards (almost 200yards/game) and Stephen hill has over 1000 receiving yards. Carolina is a power house on offense, and don't expect them to slow down any time soon.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 960
4. (4) Philadelphia Eagles
Record 7-0

The fourth spot inhabits by the Eagles and I must say that the third and fourth spots are very close seeing as the Panthers are the #1 scoring offense and the Eagles are #1 in  points allowed defensively. Anyhow, the Eagles are coming off their bye week and are heading into a matchup with the 2-5 Redskins. The Eagles are favorites in this matchup, not only because they are undefeated but also because they have had the whole week to game plan for the redskins. The Eagles are happy with their trades and it shows that they have paid off. Defensive stops is the motto in Philly. And with Foles at the helm they are 4th in points per game.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings Cwuyv0w15ruuk34j9qnfuoif9
5. (-) Detroit Lions
Record 7-1

The Lions overtook the Browns who lost their matchup against the Seahawks. Detroit was on the outside looking in and they have now only lost one game on the road and snatched up a lot of wins at home. With Stafford throwing over 2300 yards and Megatron receiving 1085 of those they are third in points per game and second in points scored overall. The Lions are heading into a bye week and might cool off a bit, but they are sitting fourth in the NFC and await to pass anyone of the undefeated teams if they drop a game. Will Detroit be able to keep their form up after the bye week? If so, the playoff seed race will be very interesting in the NFC.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 2ioheczrkmc2ibc42c9r
6. (5) Cleveland Browns
Record 6-2

The Browns fell to the Seahawks, they fell in the standings and subsequently they fell in the Power Rankings. Despite a trade deadline pickup of MJD from the Jaguars they still couldn't break the Seahawks defense and only managed 51 rushing yards to 424 passing yards. Mallett may have a cannon for an arm and sits at 2787 passing yards on the season, but wasn't the point to bring in MJD to bolster the running game and replace Big Blount? Anhow, the Browns now look to improve and are facing the Tennessee Titans who they should beat quite handily.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings G9mgk6x3ge26t44cccm9oq1vl
7. (-) Oakland Raiders
Record 6-2

The Raiders manage to grab the sixth spot on the Power Rankings due to a good record. They have however let in over 200 points which isn't the greatest. They come off a close win against the Patriots and they are heading into a bye week. A bye week should do Oakland good as they have several injuries. Pryor is out and Sentef went down in the last game. They are however 5th in points per game and sit atop AFC West so their offense clicks and they should be a strong team when they are healthy.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 17636702014
8. (-) Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Record 5-2

Tampa are chasing the Panthers who lead the NFC South. They have high hopes for this season and with the fifth best defense in terms of points allowed they should have. Glennon is leading the way down in Florida and the Bucs are heading into a matchup against the 2-5 Vikings. This week's test should therefore be AP and the running game for the Bucs D. Can they catch up to Carolina? They haven't faces each other this year so their two games could become critical for the division title.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings N0fd1z6xmhigb0eej3323ebwq
9. (-) Buffalo Bills
Record 5-2
The Bills lead AFC East and have a good defense this year. With EJ Manuel half way into his sophomore season he's thrown for 1333 yards. However Buffalo are averaging over 100 yards rushing per game so they manage to score on the ground which is show by their leading receiver Danny Amendola, who is sitting at a small number of 374 receiving yards. The Bills beat KC last week and are heading into a divisonal match up vs the Patriots as they hope to secure their grip the AFC East.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 9ebzja2zfeigaziee8y605aqp
10. (-) Denver Broncos
Record 5-2

The Broncos manage to stay ahead of the Packers due to better record, higher scoring and similar defense. Denver still has Manning at the helm and he has thrown for over 2300 yards this year. However their running game is in the lower half of the league while the passing game is 3rd. They head to New York to face the Jets this week as they look to catch up to the raiders who are sitting in the AFC West lead. If the Broncos win this week they are tied as Oakland has a bye. AFC West is very interesting as three teams are fighting for the top spot and it will be interesting to follow when we head down the stretch.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings Empty Week 10

Post by Rox Sat Mar 22, 2014 9:46 am

Week 10

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings Pfiobtreaq7j0pzvadktsc6jv
1. (1) Seattle Seahawks
Record 8-0

The Seahawks absolutely crushed the Ravens and cruise to a still undefeated #1 spot on the rankings. Seattle had four takeaways on the day and also had a strong showing on the ground, rushing for almost 250 yards. However this week things start to become very interesting atop of the Power Rankings as Seattle head to Philadelphia where we will see the two best defenses in the league take on each other. The Eagles are also undefeated and are coming off their bye week so they should be fresh. This match up will prove very important as the Seahawks are facing three as of now undefeated teams in a row. Watch out for Marshawn Lynch as he has almost 1200 rushing yards half way through the season. #27-0

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings F1wggq2k8ql88fe33jzhw641u
2. (3) Carolina Panthers
Record 8-0

Panthers move up in the power rankings this week as the Bengals had their bye week. They have a monster for offense and have scored over 450 points in eight games. The Panthers come off a win in Indianapolis against the colts and they are heading into a match up with the 7-1 lions. If Panthers can overcome this hurdle they are looking strong as one of the other undefeated teams will no longer be undefeated after this week. Watch out for the league's leading rushing Kenjon Barner who has over 1500 yards in eight games with almost half the carries as Beastmode. They also have a net point score of 308 with a 100% red zone efficiency! Yikes!

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 960
3. (4) Philadelphia Eagles
Record 8-0

Philadelphia move up to third place in the Rankings after coming off a win against the Redskins. They are now pitted against the defending Super Bowl champions and they have the opportunity to end the undefeated streak of the Seahawks. The two best defenses are facing each other and it will be very exciting to see who comes out on top. The Eagles are very strong at the moment and they spread their offense out which should benefit them vs Seattle. The Eagles dropped to 5th in points per game, but 37 ppg is nothing to scoff at. Good luck Philly, it should be interesting!

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 403
4. (2) Cincinnati Bengals
Record 8-0

The Bengals fall two spots in the rankings this week due to their bye week, Panthers have the best offense in points scored and Eagles have the best defense in terms of points allowed. They should have an easy match up vs the Ravens however before they head into their Seahawks match up next week. Cincinnati are two games ahead of the Browns and have a firm lead in the AFC North. In fact, they are two games up on three teams who are chasing them, but as they head into Baltimore this week they should still be undefeated and safe for another week.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings Cwuyv0w15ruuk34j9qnfuoif9
5. (5) Detroit Lions
Record 7-1

The Lions sit at the fifth spot on our list after a bye week. They have an extremely tough match up against the undefeated Panthers which will prove very important in the NFC playoff race. Look for Megatron and Stafford going big in this game, and maybe the Lions can make a stop in the red zone and delete that 100% Panther Red Zone off the books. This is also an important game as Lions only sit two game in front of the Packers in the NFC North.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 2ioheczrkmc2ibc42c9r
6. (6) Cleveland Browns
Record 6-2

Cleveland beat the Titans last week and they are still working hard in the AFC North race. Cleveland are a powerhouse on offense and they head into a match up with the 2-6 Jaguars. It should be a win in the books for the Browns, but they shouldn't let off steam if they hope to catch the Bengals. Let's see what MJD Can bring vs his old team and let's see if Blount can prove he was worth more than what he was traded for.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 9ebzja2zfeigaziee8y605aqp
7. (10) Denver Broncos
Record 6-2

Denver is coming off a strong showing vs the Jets and they overtook the Raiders in the standings and are now leading the AFC West. With very similar stats as the Raiders they hope to improve on this as they head into a match up with the Buffalo Bills. If Denver can keep on winning they have a good chance to win their division. With manning throwing for almost 500 yards vs the Jets he now sits over 2800 passing yards. This also meant that Demaryius Thomas broke the 1000 yards receiving mark half way through the season! If the Broncos stay hot they should be able to squeak out a victory vs the Bills.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 17636702014
8. (8) Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Record 6-2

Tampa went to Minnesota to beat the vikings in a seemingly close game. The Bucs need to grab every win the can get before facing the Panthers who lead their division. This week however they head to Atlanta to take on the 4-4 Falcons who also play in the NFC South. A Very important match up for both teams in the playoff hunt. With 19 turnovers on the season the Bucs have to be careful with the ball and aim to control the game.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings G9mgk6x3ge26t44cccm9oq1vl
9. (7) Oakland Raiders
Record 6-2

The Raiders fall in the Power Rankings due to having a quiet bye week. However they are now heading into Green Bay to take on the 5-3 Packers. With Terelle Pryor Back this should be a good match up and we should be on a lookout for the Raiders running game. They are 2nd in rushing yards per game and 4th in points per game. A strong showing vs the Packers should put Raiders back on track in both the standings and Power Rankings. The Raiders also are high in net points which should mean that they will come back strong from their bye week, fresh, rested and hungry.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings N0fd1z6xmhigb0eej3323ebwq
10. (9) Buffalo Bills
Record 5-3

The Bills had a very poor showing vs New England as they lost to the 1-6 Patriots. However they manage to stay in the Power Rankings this week due to them still leading the AFC East. Buffalo must however now head into a tough match up at Mile High in Denver. Another poor showing and they might slip out of our top 10 Power Rankings. However with only four turnovers this year and two coming in the Pats game they still are looking like they could make a run. It will be very interesting how AFC East Shapes up as Dolphins and Bills now are tied for the lead.

On the outside looking in: Dolphins (5-3), Packers (5-3), Chiefs (5-4)

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings Empty Week 11

Post by Rox Tue Mar 25, 2014 12:20 pm

Week 11

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings Pfiobtreaq7j0pzvadktsc6jv
1. (1) Seattle Seahawks
Ents
Record 9-0

After a complete 45-3 blow out vs the Eagles the Seahawks reaffirm their #1 spot on the Rankings. A 9-0 record and a complete monster defensive showing they are showing that they are a favorite for a Super Bowl repeat. Last week they had three interceptions and three recovered fumbles which proves that they can stop tough teams. This week Seattle takes on the undefeated Bengals. This will prove to be another great match up as the Bengals also sit undefeated. Will the Seahawks still be able to call themselves undefeated after this week? It's a very interesting match up to follow! #28-0

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings F1wggq2k8ql88fe33jzhw641u
2. (2) Carolina Panthers
AllstaRF911
Record 9-0

Carolina beat the Detroit Lions handily with a score of 66-31. This cemented them in the 2nd place of the Power Rankings. The Panthers are now taking on the 7-2 Bucs which should prove to be a good match up and also a battle of the NFC South title. If the Panthers can win they should be able to lock up the divison win. The best offense in the league have the obstacle of Tampa bay, then next week the Seahawks. Will Carolina still go undefeated? They sure look like it when their offense is working like the insanely well oiled machine that they seem to be. 1st in points, passing yards, rushing yards & net points. Look out!

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 403
3. (4) Cincinnati Bengals
joeyfluriach
Record 9-0

The Bengals won easily vs the CPU Ravens and are heading into one of the most important match ups for the this season. They are next at bat in the "who can beat the Seahawks" game. With a team that's focused on defense, will the Bengals be able to knock off Seattle? It will for sure be an exciting match up to watch and I'm sure the Bengals are pumped as well. They climb in the rankings due to their win and the eagle's losing. If they win this week a climb in the rankings might be on the horizon!

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 960
4. (3) Philadelphia Eagles
Xedo19
Record 8-1

Unfortunately Philly lost their important game to the Seahawks and fall in the Power Rankings. They got completely blown out of the water by Seattle and now have to regroup and come back stronger. Even though their offense put up better yardage than Seattle, it proved to be the Seahawks defense to be the winning edge. Foles threw three interceptions and they lost three fumbles. The Eagles still have a firm hold on their division however so they shouldn't panic just yet. They are now heading into a divisional match up against the Giants which should seal the deal in the divisional race if the Eagles win it.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 9ebzja2zfeigaziee8y605aqp
5. (7) Denver Broncos
zigzag
Record 7-2

Denver is on a roll and in two weeks they've gone from #10 in the Power Rankings to #5. They come off a strong showing vs the Bills, who lead the AFC East, and won 43-33. Peyton had an impressive game. He threw for 3 TDs and over 300 yards and have now surpassed the 3000 yards passing mark. Watch out for Demaryius Thomas who picked up over 200 yards receiving. They are still fighting hard with Oakland to get the division win and they should have an easy match up when they take on the 3-6 CPU Ravens this week before heading to Green Bay next week.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 2ioheczrkmc2ibc42c9r
6. (6) Cleveland Browns
MrOkomotato
Record 7-2

Cleveland are trying to catch up to the Bengals in their division and they managed to beat the Jaguars in an easy 49-17 showing. Despite bringing him in MJD only got 8 carries for 47 yards while Christine Michael got 15 carries for 94 yards. We have not yet received word on if MJD got injured during the game as the Browns front office are keeping quiet. This means however that they retain their spot in the Power Rankings as they are now heading to Arizona to face the Cardinals who sit at 4-5. Watch out for this game as it could be a sleeper upset due to the Cardinals defense playing well. Let's see if MJD laces up for this game.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings G9mgk6x3ge26t44cccm9oq1vl
7. (9) Oakland Raiders
ShockKing23
Record 7-2

Oakland rises in the Power Rankings due to a win against the Packers in which they won 38-21. A great showing where the Raiders defense managed to pick off Aaron Rodgers four times! However the Raiders are now in QB turmoil as Terelle Pryor went out with a herniated disc and should be out for 6-8 weeks. Can the Raiders hang on now with the Rookie Orlan Lane or will they make a free agent signing? Anyhow, they are heading into a seemingly easy match up against the CPU Bears and should be able to turn to McFadden to keep the ship stable.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 17636702014
8. (8) Tampa Bay Buccaneers
jjp052
Record 7-2

Tampa Bay beat the Falcons in a close 28-21 match up which featured three takeaways for each team. In the end the Bucs managed to win and prove that they are stronger than the Lions currently. Tampa is now heading into an extremely important divisional match up against the undefeated Panthers. If Tampa can come out of Carolina with the W they should be a contender this year and now is the time to prove it.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings Cwuyv0w15ruuk34j9qnfuoif9
9. (5) Detroit Lions
ragjobe
Record 7-2

The Lions lost a much important match up to the undefeated Panthers and quickly drop in our Power Rankings. Despite Stafford putting up over 360 yards passing the most receptions came from Kenny Britt as the Panthers D managed to somewhat shut Calvin Johnson down who only had 6 catches for 55 yards. Now the Lions look to bounce back and are heading to Minnesota to take on purple Jesus and his compatriots. Keep a look out for Megatron to get hungry and go off for over 200 yards receiving! The Lions still hold the first spot in the NFC North, but soon the Packers might be breathing down their necks.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 15041052013
10. (-) Miami Dolphins
t_wells94
Record 6-3

The Dolphins make their first appearance on the Power Rankings after winning a divisional match up against the Jets 56-13. Despite Tannehill being responsible of the two interceptions of the game the Miami Defense stepped up and sacked Geno Smith seven times. They have now surpassed the Bills in both the standings and the Power Rankings and are now leading the AFC East. The battle for the division should be an interesting one as the Bills look to fight back. The Dolphins are now heading into San Diego to take on the 2-7 CPU Chargers. Should be an automatic.

On the outside looking in: Giants (6-3), Chiefs (5-4), Packers (5-4), Bills (5-4)

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings Empty Week 12

Post by Rox Sat Mar 29, 2014 8:03 am

Week 12

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings Pfiobtreaq7j0pzvadktsc6jv
1. (1) Seattle Seahawks
Ents
Record 10-0

Seattle continues to be an unstoppable force with their win over the undefeated Bengals. The win came down to a last minute pick six though. Without it the Bengals probably would have won. Good job Seattle! They improve their record and they solidify their #1 spot in the Power Rankings. However this week might be the most challenging match up of them all. The Seahawks head to Carolina as the #1 Defense takes on the #1 Offense. It will the a thrilling match up and it's a battle for the #1 spot in the NFL as well as the #1 spot on the Power Rankings. Let's see if Russell, Marshawn and Richard can bring their team to another win! #29-0

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings F1wggq2k8ql88fe33jzhw641u
2. (2) Carolina Panthers
AllstaRF911
Record 10-0

Carolina had a good showing against he Tampa Bay Buccaneers and won 56-21. Their 57 point per game offense seems unstoppable as they are now facing the best defense in the league this week. the Panthers take on the Seahawks and it should be a thrilling match up for dominance in the NFL. Can Carolina keep up their 240+ yards rushing per game? They are also throwing for 350~ yards per game. It will be very exciting to see if they can keep up vs Seattle. Will the Hometown advantage be the difference? All we know at ELY is that this is the most hyped match up this season! If the Panthers win they probably will ascend to the top.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 960
3. (4) Philadelphia Eagles
Xedo19
Record 9-1

Philadelphia bounced back from their devastating loss to the Seahawks with a win in New York versus the Giants. With no interceptions, fumbles or sacks they managed to win with the score of 38-20. A very strong showing and a good measure on how resilient the Eagles are. The fact that the loss didn't make the team lose morale is a good sign as they now head into Dallas to take on the 6-4 Cowboys. It's going to be a good divisional match up. Worth noting is that Eagles still have one of the best defenses in the League even with their loss to the Seahawks.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 403
4. (3) Cincinnati Bengals
joeyfluriach
Record 9-1

Unfortunately the Bengals couldn't keep their heads cool and with a tied game with less than two minutes to go they throw a pick six against the Seahawks. Such a thrilling game where the Bengals came up just short. They fall in the rankings due to their loss, but they look to bounce back strong as they take on the CPU Ravens this week. Should be an automatic and a good game to build up confidence. They still lead the AFC but have the Broncos only one game behind. Will the Bengals be able to keep their #1 seed in AFC? It's going to be an interesting race for sure.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 9ebzja2zfeigaziee8y605aqp
5. (5) Denver Broncos
zigzag
Record 8-2

Denver wins their match up against their ravens quite easily as expected and they are now seriously chasing that #1 seed in AFC due to the Bengals losing. If they can continue their strong passing game with Peyton at the helm they could be a serious contender. This week Denver take on the 5-5 Packers. It's a match up that Denver cannot afford to lose as they still have the same record as the Raiders. The AFC West is one of the most exciting divisions to watch now as two teams duke it out over the division title.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings G9mgk6x3ge26t44cccm9oq1vl
6. (7) Oakland Raiders
ShockKing23
Record 8-2

The Raiders managed to beat the Bears just before they found new ownership. This means the Raiders imrpove in the standings and they surpass the Browns in the Power Rankings. With an extremely potent rushing game and their rookie Orlan Lane throwing for 111 yards and two TDs they show that they still can be a force without Terrelle Pryor. Now they are heading to Kansas City to take on the 6-4 Chiefs. If the Raiders hope to overtake the Broncos they have to show that they can continue winning.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 15041052013
7. (10) Miami Dolphins
t_wells94
Record 7-3

With the teams in front of them losing the Dolphins manage to move up in the Power Rankings and show that they want to be considered a contender this year. They have a small grip on the AFC East as the Bills are not willing to go away. However dolphins beat the CPU Chargers very handily 42-17. Miami are now looking to face the Giants in a very important match up in the AFC. Look for Mike Wallace getting more chances and overtake Charles Clay in the team receiving yards.

8. (6) Cleveland Browns
MrOkomotato
Record 7-3

The Browns lost their important match up against the Cardinals. And as we suspected MJD didn't suit up for the game. It turns out he did injure himself the previous week and the Browns state that he has an "upper-body injury" and won't comment on his time frame to return. The loss of a running back shows in the game as the Browns only managed to rack up 29 rushing yards against the Cardinals. It seems Christine Michael cannot carry the load alone. this meant the Browns had to rely on Mallett who in turn threw three interceptions. Ouch. Now Cleveland are looking forward to going to Pittsburgh to face the 5-5 Steelers. It's an important game for the Browns if they want to stay in the playoff hunt.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 17636702014
9. (8) Tampa Bay Buccaneers
jjp052
Record 7-3

The Bucs could not hold the fort against the undefeated Carolina Panthers as they lost 56-21. This means that Tampa now probably won't win their division and have to battle for a wild card spot. It will be interesting what happens the next few weeks. This week the Buccaneers are taking on the 5-5 Cardinals who come off a great win against the Browns. Look out for an upset! Worth noting is that Tampa has a 53% conversion rate on 3rd down. Will this hurt them against the Cards? It's going to be fun to see.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings Cwuyv0w15ruuk34j9qnfuoif9
10. (9) Detroit Lions
ragjobe
Record 7-3

The Lions lose again. This time to Adrian Peterson going off for almost 200 yards. Now the Lions are on a two game losing streak. They are on the verge of dropping out of our Power Rankings and we must ask ourselves if the loss was a hangover loss from the Panthers game. Detroit now have to reload and gain confidence as they are taking on the Bears who just have found new ownership. It's going to be interesting to see what the Bears can do now and if the Lions have been able to overcome their losses and can manage a win.

On the outside looking in: Chiefs (6-4), Cowboys (6-4), Bills (6-4), Giants (6-4)

Week 13

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings Pfiobtreaq7j0pzvadktsc6jv
1. (1) Seattle Seahawks
Ents
Record 11-0

Wow. pick sixes to save Seattle must be the trend because it has now happened two weeks in a row. The Seahawks beat yet another undefeated team and are now cruising alone on the undefeated ship. 38-31 was the final score and now Seattle has to focus on the playoffs. We're sure they wont let off the gas when they head into San Fransisco this week. But they should be wary of the new ownership in SF. We believe that Seattle wants to continue unbeaten yet another year. The question now is if someone will actually be able to beat them? It will be interesting to follow. and as usual; #30-0

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 403
2. (4) Cincinnati Bengals
joeyfluriach
Record 10-1

The Bengals come off a win vs the CPU Ravens and they are still holding a grip of the AFC lead. it is fitting they manage to grab hold of the number 2 spot in our Power Rankings. Giovanni Bernard broke 1000 yards rushing last game and they proved the cruise by another week. They should now focus their attention on the Steelers which should prove tobe a good match up if the Steelers manage to show up.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings F1wggq2k8ql88fe33jzhw641u
3. (2) Carolina Panthers
AllstaRF911
Record 10-1

And bam, the last undefeated team besides the Seahawks have been beaten. The excruciating last minute loss against the Sehawks make the Panthers slide out of their comfortable 2nd spot on the Power Rankings. They now have o recuperate before heading to Dallas to take on the Cowboys who are on a hot streak. Kenjon Barner is looking to break 2k rushing and Stephen Hill is on his way to break 1.5k receiving. IT's an important game, both for milestones and confidence. Will they be able to climb in the rankings again? Time will tell.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 9ebzja2zfeigaziee8y605aqp
4. (5) Denver Broncos
zigzag
Record 9-2

Denver has proven to be a powerhouse and they are now hunting the Bengals for the number one seed in the AFC. They have really improved their game and they have now broken in to the top 4 of the Power Rankings, surpassing one of the teams that was undefeated three weeks ago. Denver come off a win to the Packers in strong fashion and they are now heading to Chicago to take on the Bears. Will the fast paced Broncos be able to keep up their winning ways? It's interesting and exciting for sure.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings G9mgk6x3ge26t44cccm9oq1vl
5. (6) Oakland Raiders
ShockKing23
Record 9-2

The Raiders also manage to climb in the rankings after a blowout win against the Kansas City Chiefs. A game where the rookie Orlan Lane managed to throw for 262 yards and 4 TDs and added 119 yards on the ground with two TDs for a total of six TDs with no turnovers. What a performance! Oakland are 2nd now in total yardage per game, second only to Carolina. They are now taking on the CPU chargers which should prove to be easy, and it looks like the Raiders are a force to be reckoned with.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 960
6. (3) Philadelphia Eagles
Xedo19
Record 9-2

The Eagles get their second loss in three weeks and as a result hey drop in the Power Rankings. Philadelphia had a huge 10-45 loss to the Cowboys as they turned the ball over five times! They now take on the strong Dolphins which should be a good strength check for the Eagles as they struggle to keep the ship right. Can Foles and company show the Philadelphia fans where the team is headed? It's going to be a rough ride, and hte Eagles have the odds on their side to make the playoffs. But how far can this team go?

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 15041052013
7. (7) Miami Dolphins
t_wells94
Record 8-3

The Dolphins retain their spot on the Power Rankings and it was hard to place them here as they might deserve to surpass the Eagles. However coming off a strong win against the Giants in New York they now have the opportunity in their own hands when they head to Philly to take on the Eagles. Will they prove to be the better team and surpass them in the rankings? When we asked Tannehill if the team could beat the Eagles he responded "Absolutely". There you have it.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 2ioheczrkmc2ibc42c9r
8. (8) Cleveland Browns
MrOkomotato
Record 8-3

Cleveland have halted their descent in the Power Rankings and clock in at an eight place this week after beating the Steelers quite handily with a score of 48-3. It seems like the Browns have found their spark again and might be on the right path when we head into the final stretch of the season. They are sitting second in points per game and are taking on the CPU Ravens. Times are looking brighter for the Browns.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 17636702014
9. (9) Tampa Bay Buccaneers
jjp052
Record 8-3

The Buccaneers manage to squeak by the Cardinals with a three point win 24-21 and with that they manage to squeak by the Lions in the Power Rankings this week as well. Doug Martin Managed to break 1000 yards rushing but more importantly their 3rd down conversion rate has dropped yet again and they sit at only 51% 3rd down conversion rate. Will this be enough to beat the Lions who are hungry to overtake them?

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings Cwuyv0w15ruuk34j9qnfuoif9
10. (10) Detroit Lions
ragjobe
Record 8-3

Detroit managed to win against the Bears who have new ownership and they are now heading into an extremely important match up against the Buccaneers. If they can beat the boys from Tampa they probably will rise in the Power Rankings and will show that they are a favorite in the AFC. With the Stafford-Megatron connection leading the way they should be able to put up a good showing against the Bucs.

On the outside looking in: Cowboys (7-4), Bills (7-4)

Post by Rox Sat Apr 05, 2014 5:20 pm

Week 14

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings Pfiobtreaq7j0pzvadktsc6jv
1. (1) Seattle Seahawks
Ents
Record 12-0

Boom. Seattle went to San Fransisco to get another win. 12-0. Amazing. Now it's most likely smooth sailing for Seattle until the playoffs. They are heading into a divisional match up with the Rams who are 6-6 and fighting for the playoffs. However I believe now that Seahawks have proven that they can beat the strongest teams in the league they should take this one home. Its going to be a long year. Worth notings is that Lynch is closing in on 2k rushing this season. #31-0

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 403
2. (2) Cincinnati Bengals
joeyfluriach
Record 11-1

Cincinnati went to Pittsburgh and put up a great defensive showing. Even though there were no turnovers on either side of the ball the Bengals came out strong with a 24-3 victory. They are hungry and wont let off the gas. They are intent on holding that number one seed in the AFC and they keep their second spot in the Power Rankings. This week they take on the Browns which should be, on paper, a very good match. Let's see how two of the top teams play it out.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings F1wggq2k8ql88fe33jzhw641u
3. (3) Carolina Panthers
AllstaRF911
Record 11-1

Panthers manage to bounce back after their devastating loss to the Seahawks. They went to Dallas to beat the Cowboys in a thrilling matchup where the Panthers had a strong showing on the ground again. They managed to cause three turnovers and only allowed one. A good showing for Carolina as they now head to Green Bay to take on the shifty Packers. As predicted both Barner broke the 2k mark and Hill broke the 1.5k mark. IT's going to be interesting to see if there will be any records broken!

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 9ebzja2zfeigaziee8y605aqp
4. (4) Denver Broncos
zigzag
Record 10-2

Broncos beat the 0-11 Bears and they prove yet again to be in the race for the Lombardi Trophy this year. With Manning still keeping strong and throwing for over 300 yards breaking the 4k mark for the day he doesn't seem to slow down. However, will this be the last year for the magic man? We will see, but first he will have to face the playoffs and before that they are heading into San Diego this week which should be interesting seeing that they have new ownership.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings G9mgk6x3ge26t44cccm9oq1vl
5. (5) Oakland Raiders
ShockKing23
Record 10-2

Oakland beat the Charges in good fashion and they are showing strong as McFadden has more rushing than anyone has passing yards in Oakland. Quarterback injurys are not fun, but the Raiders seem to have managed well without Pryor. Lets see what Orlan Lane can do against Minnesota. Will he be able to throw for another 4 TDs or will the ever dangerous Vikings be able to run all over the Raiders?

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 960
6. (6) Philadelphia Eagles
Xedo19
Record 10-2

The Eagles manage to salvage their situation by taking on the Dolphins and beating them. An important victory for Philly and they sohuld be very satisfied with the win as the Eagles were the only team to force a turnover. Good job and they manage to stabilize in the Power Rankings. They are now taking on the Cowboys at home and this will probably be the game for LeSean McCoy to break the 1k rushing mark as he sits on 999 yards pre-game.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 17636702014
7. (9) Tampa Bay Buccaneers
jjp052
Record 9-3

The Bucs shoot up in the Rankings after beating the Lions at home. With four forced turnovers they win 42-21. Good job by Tampa Bay as they continue to show strength. This week they are playing the Falcons which should be a good game. Sources tell me that Bucs are favored to win as the game will kick off as i'm typing this. Will the Bucs make or break at the stretch heading into the playoffs?

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 2ioheczrkmc2ibc42c9r
8. (8) Cleveland Browns
MrOkomotato
Record 9-3

The Browns beat the CPU Ravens as expected and as it stands they sit put in the Power Rankings. They surely needed a confidence boost and a win over the Ravens might just have done that! This week they are taking on the leading team in the AFC, the Bengals and it is a very important match up for Cleveland. If their QB Mallett can continue to throw the ball well, he might throw for a hell of a lot of yards this season as he has already broken 4100 yards. However their big trade deadline aquisition of MJD only sits at 649 yards rushing. Is he a bust?

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings N0fd1z6xmhigb0eej3323ebwq
9. (-) Buffalo Bills
ChiefsFan7557
Record 8-4

Buffalo fight their way back to the AFC East lead as well as back into the Power Rankings. A strong showing against the Houston Texans prove that the Bills will not lay down and surrender, they really want that playoff spot and as they head to face the Giants, they are now fighting with the Dolphins for the playoffs. An interesting note is that no players is ofer 620 receiver yards, no player is above 982 rushing yards and no player is above 2232 passing yards. Where does the offense come from? They have a strong defense for sure and they keep theri turnovers to a minimum with only 7 on the season. the AFC East will be interesting to follow!

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 15041052013
10. (7) Miami Dolphins
t_wells94
Record 8-4

The Dolphins fall against the Eagles and they fall in the Power Rankings. However due to Dallas also missing the opportunity they hold onto the last spot in our Rankings this week. If they want to stay here though they need to start winning since the Bills have overtaken them both in the division and in the Rankings. The Dolphins still have a respectable 40 points per game, which is good for 3rd in the league, however they really need to show that they can win games from here on out.

On the outside looking in: Lions (8-4), Cowboys (7-5), Colts (7-5), Falcons (7-5)

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings Empty Week 15

Post by Rox Tue Apr 08, 2014 9:23 am

Week 15

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings Pfiobtreaq7j0pzvadktsc6jv
1. (1) Seattle Seahawks
Ents
Record 13-0

In a game that started out slow and methodically where the Rams had the ball for almost the whole of the first half, Lynch got his first carry in the second half, the Seahawks managed to pull out with the win. 21-6 and they improve their undefeated streak. Marshawn is 94 yards shy of hitting the 1k mark and Harvin is 8 yards shy of hitting the 1k mark receiving. It's going to be interesting as the Seahawks take on the Giants without Eli this week. Will the Giants be able to put  up a fight? #32-0

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings F1wggq2k8ql88fe33jzhw641u
2. (3) Carolina Panthers
AllstaRF911
Record 12-1

The Panthers show that they are hungry and that they are here to play. They beat the Packers 45-14 and jump up in the Power Rankings. They are one game behind Seattle, and I'm sure they're crossing their fingers for a Seahawk loss in the final stretch. However they have to worry about the strong Tampa Bay Buccaneers this week. They are heading to Tampa and with Kenjon Barner already broken the all-time rushing record, will the Panthers capitalize?

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 9ebzja2zfeigaziee8y605aqp
3. (4) Denver Broncos
zigzag
Record 11-2

The Broncos are still going like a machine and they beat the Chargers handily 48-7. With Peyton sitting at 4.3k Passin yards he currently leads the league. It's going to be interesting to see what the Broncos can accomplish as they seem to be a new favorite for the AFC number one seed with the Bengals losing. However this week they head to Missouri to take on the Kansas City Chiefs who are fighting for a playoff spot. It's going to be a good game and it's a strength check for the guy in orange.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings G9mgk6x3ge26t44cccm9oq1vl
4. (5) Oakland Raiders
ShockKing23
Record 11-2

Oakland go to Minnesota and they beat the Vikings as they manage to keep AP at only 133 yards with 23 carries. Good job as McFadden racked up 180 yards on only 9 carries. They show that they want that AFC West title as well as the number one seed in the AFC now that the Bengals lost. They are now taking o nthe Miami Dolphins who are fighting for the AFC East number one spot so it's going to be interesting to see how it plays out. Orlan Lane still seems to be a capable rookie!

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 960
5. (6) Philadelphia Eagles
Xedo19
Record 11-2

Finally the Eagles manage to jump back into the top 5 with a win against the cowboys where they didn't turn the ball over a single time. Good job and as a result they improve in both the standings and the Power Rankings. They are now faced with the tough task of beating the Bills at home who are fighting for the AFC East number on spot. It's going to come down to the wire and we'll be looking at Foles who only needs one passing yard to break 3k passing on the year.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 403
6. (2) Cincinnati Bengals
joeyfluriach
Record 11-2

Cincinnati fall to the Browns in a tough loss. They turn the ball over four times to the Browns' three and they lose the game 21-35. In turn they drop far in the Power Rankings and now the Raiders and Broncos are in the AFC number one seed hunt. It's goint to be extremely exciting to see what the teams do in the final stretch and to see who comes out on top in the end. This week the Bengals are looking to bounce back as they head to Arizona to take on the 6-7 Cardinals. It's a very important game for the Bengals but they have to watch out. The Cards are sleepers this year.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 2ioheczrkmc2ibc42c9r
7. (8) Cleveland Browns
MrOkomotato
Record 10-3

The Browns finally show up to play against a big team in the Bengals and they display that they are a team to watch as we head into the playoffs this year. Last week we touched on MJD's ability, and he managed to have a 100 yard game against the Bengals with three TDs. Great showing from him. Now the Browns must turn their heads to the Colts who have Danish ownership this year. If the Browns can beat Luck & co. They might just be able to squeak by even further in the Power Rankings as well as the standings. Let's just hope MJD can keep up his ways.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 17636702014
8. (7) Tampa Bay Buccaneers
jjp052
Record 10-3

The Buccaneers won again, this time against the Falcons and as reported the game was over just as we pushed the Rankings out last week. The final score was 35-28 to the Bucs and they improve to 10-3. Unfortunately they lose a position in the Power Rankings, not due to bad play, but instead because the Browns did a hell of a job beating the Bengals, so they surpass the Bucs. This week might be one of the most important games for the Bucs on the year as they invite the Panthers to come down to Florida. It's going to be very interesting to see what the bucs defense can do against the best offense in the league. on a side note Glennon needs five more yards to break 3k passing yards. We're willing to bet that he'll break it. But will it be enough to break the Panthers?

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings N0fd1z6xmhigb0eej3323ebwq
9. (9) Buffalo Bills
ChiefsFan7557
Record 9-4

The Bills win in hostile territory by beating the Giants in a close game 34-28. Well done from the Bills as CJ Spiller is now sniffing on the 1k rushing mark. This week the Bills are taking on the Eagles who have shown strength during the year. However if the Bills want to with that AFC East division it's going to be an important game to win for Buffalo. No turnovers seem to be the recipe for the Bills, and it's going to be interesting if it can continue when they face the strong defense that the Eagles have.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 15041052013
10. (10) Miami Dolphins
t_wells94
Record 9-4

The Dolphins manage to beat the Patriots who seemed lost out there. We'd think the players were on vacation with the way they handled themselves out there. However, now the Dolphins have an important game against the Raiders in Oakland. It's going to be a good week to watch the AFC East as both teams fighting for the lead are facing teams that are better ranked than themselves. Who will be able to pull out with the win in the end? If dolphins want it they have to stop the strong running game of the Raiders. It's going to be a good week, folks.

On the outside looking in: Lions (9-4), Colts (8-5)

Week 16

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings Pfiobtreaq7j0pzvadktsc6jv
1. (1) Seattle Seahawks
Ents
Record 14-0

The Seattle train chugs on and destroys the Giants 51-14. A game where the Seahawks D step up and intercept Nassib three times and Klein once as Nassib had to step out after a vicious hit. Seattle are now sitting comfortably at the top and they have a divisional match up with the Rams this week. Let's see if Seattle can pull it out at the home stretch and finish this season unbeaten heading into the playoffs. Only two games left! Keep a look out for Marshawn who has broken 2k rushing and Wilson only needs 77 yards to break 3k passing. #33-0

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings F1wggq2k8ql88fe33jzhw641u
2. (2) Carolina Panthers
AllstaRF911
Record 13-1

Carolina went to Tampa and won strong in a completely one sided affair. Cam broke 4k passing and Barner is going extremely strong sitting over 2,5k rushing yards. Vs the Bucs the Panthers D put up five interceptions which is amazing. This week they are taking on the Saints who have new ownership. Will the Panthers display domination again? I'm willing on betting on it as their offense is unmatched, leading almost all categories and with a 98% red zone percentage. Their defense is nothing to scoff at either as they check in at third in points allowed. Watch out in the playoffs!

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 9ebzja2zfeigaziee8y605aqp
3. (3) Denver Broncos
zigzag
Record 12-2

The Broncos beat the Chiefs in a good fashion 52-13. However the Denver offense is extremely one sided as they sit first in passing yards but 27th in rushing. Peyton managed 256 yards passing and 4TDs vs the Chiefs with 20 of 22 passes complete. Wow. This week the Broncos are taking on the Vikings who are a team that also have new ownership. Will Vikings be able to keep their heads high or will Broncos trample them like their usual opponents?

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 960
4. (5) Philadelphia Eagles
Xedo19
Record 12-2

The Eagles continue to rise with a victory over the Buffalo Bills in a very close game finishing 23-20! A game where no turnovers were caused and despite buffalo putting up over 50 yards more on offense the Eagles manage to squeak by in an important victory. This means Philadelphia manage to rise again in the Power Rankings. This week they are taking on their divisional rivals, Washington, and they should be able to win as they are looking for that #2 seed in NFC as they've already secured a playoff spot winning their division.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 403
5. (6) Cincinnati Bengals
joeyfluriach
Record 12-2

The Bengals sit with the second best defense in the league in terms of points allowed and they manage to win against the Cardinals while not allowing any points at all. 17-0. Bam. This was a very important game for the Bengals as they fight with the Broncos for that #1 seed in the AFC. They are two games ahead of their divisional rival the Browns and if they can win over them this week they'll clinch the divisional victory. Therefore this week's match up of Bengals - Browns will be one of the most exciting games in a long time! Who will show their will to win and get that divisional first spot?

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 15041052013
6. (10) Miami Dolphins
t_wells94
Record 10-4

Miami show they are serious this year by winning against a team with better record in the Raiders. They win 45-42 and they take a huge leap and squeak by them in the Power Rankings. Now the Dolphins take a grip of the AFC East as the Bills lost and they now are one game ahead. If they can keep this going they might clinch a divisional win this week. The Dolphins are taking on the Titans this week who should be an easy prey for the Phins on paper, but how will it play out now that Titans finally have new ownership? One thing is for certain. They really want to get the two remaining wins.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings G9mgk6x3ge26t44cccm9oq1vl
7. (4) Oakland Raiders
ShockKing23
Record 11-3

The Raiders lost to the Dolphins by 3 and they now lost the tie in their division with the Broncos. Due to their 42-45 loss they drop in the standings and Power Rankings. If they want to fight for that number one spot in the AFC they need to win this week against the Kansas City Chiefs before facing the Broncos in the last week to fight for the divisional title. Oakland are a very good offense as they are 2nd in PPG and 2nd in rushing yards. Will it be enough to claw their way back? I bet they miss Pryor down in Oakland just about now.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 2ioheczrkmc2ibc42c9r
8. (7) Cleveland Browns
MrOkomotato
Record 10-4

The Browns had a very important game against the Colts. However, they lost and now they drop in the Power Rankings yet again. It seems the Brown are fluctuating this year after coming off that Super Bowl appearance last year. However, they still have an outside chance of catching the Bengals in their division as they take on Cincinnati at home this week. Will Mallett be able to outplay Dalton? It's going to be extremely exciting to watch who comes out on top! Worth noting is that Browns currently hold the last wild card spot in the AFC, however the Bills are chasing just one game behind!

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 17636702014
9. (8) Tampa Bay Buccaneers
jjp052
Record 10-4

The Bucs lost to the Panthers big and they drop in the Power Rankings. However they must not fret as they clinch a playoff appearance despite the loss. No one can catch them as it stands and they'll have the #1 wild card spot regardless of what goes down the final two games. As the Bucs now head to New York to take on the Giants, will they rest their starters for the playoffs or will they play them even though they have nothing to play for? It's going to be interesting what the coaching staff in Tampa Bay decides to do when facing the risk of injuries.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 593
10. (-) Indianapolis Colts
LeCuzz
Record 9-5

The Colts beat the Browns 28-24 and they manage to climb into the Power Rankings for their first time! They have clinched the divisional win and with a bit of luck they can even move up from #4 seed to #3 if the AFC East manage to lose. In Indianapolis Luck leads the way with 3400 passing yards and T-Rich taking the ball for over 1000 yards this season. A good indicator of that they are a pass-first offense. TY Hilton has grabbed over 1600 receiving yards and look to continue rack up stats during these last two weeks. Or will he? As stated the Colts have already clinched their playoff appearance and now they must choose if they are resting or risking their starters. This week they face the Texans. What will go down? Or maybe a better phrasing would be; who will go down?

On the outside looking in: Lions (10-4), Bills (9-5)

Seattle stay undefeated by beating the Rams 21-13. AS Seattle head into the last game of the regular season they look to win out and be the #1 seed and first in the NFL. It's all up to them now and if they can beat the Cardinals this week it should be a good time to breathe and focus on the playoffs with a first round bye. Worth noting is that Wilson still need 5 yards to break 3k passing. As stated they face the Cardinals away, who shouldn't be considered a pushover team by any means as they fight for a playoff appereance. Will the Seahawks be able to outlast? #34-0

Bang, bang! Caronlina beat the New Orleans Saints in a blowout fashion 69-7. It was a game where the Saints and Drew Brees threw as much as seven(!!!) interceptions on the night. Sam Shields picked up three and the Panthers have now locked up that #2 seed in the NFC. They might be able to squeak by if the Seahawks win. But it seems like this would be a good week to rest their starters who already have broken NFL records. It's going to be interesting who takes the field against the Vikings. Will they rest the starters? And if they do, will they still manage to win?

The Broncos currently sit atop of the AFC West as well as the whole AFC. However they cannot relax just yet as both the Bengals and Raiders are one game behind. Denver beat the Vikings 41-28 in a game where there were eight turnovers total. But only two for the Broncos. Peyton now needs a 170 yard game to break 5k passing yards on the season and Demaryius Thomas need 108 receiving yards to break 2k. This week they are taking on the Chargers who by all looks are in tank mode. Will the broncos fall at the finish line or will they show strength and earn that #1 seed?

Oakland just played amazing against the chiefs. In a game which is the highest scoring game ever the Raiders beat the Kansas City Chiefs 87-42. Wow. In a game where their QB only had 8 pass attempts and 13 rush attempts together with 16 rush attempts from McFadden the game clearly was dictated on the defensive side of the ball. KC Turned the ball over five times to the raiders zero. This display make the raiders shoot up in the Power Rankings and they now are in the hunt for the #1 and #2 seed for the last week as the Bengals lost. Who will be able to come out on top when Oakland take on the Lions this week?

Philadelphia gets upset by the Redskins in  a game that came down to the last possession. Washington win by a score of 31-28 and hand the Eagles their third loss of the season. They now drop in the Power Rankings as they now cannot reach the #1 & #2 seeds anymore. This means they have locked up a playoff appearance in a #3 of #4 seed. This will probably give an incentive to rest their starters for their last game of the regular season as they go to Green Bay this week. We'll see how the coaching staff feels but I would bet on rest for Foles, Shady, Djax & co.

The Bengals unfortunately had some minor complications when flying to Cleveland for their match up against the Browns. In some odd manner the coaching staff had to take their own plane and it got delayed due to weather. This mean the whole squad of Bengals stood on match day without a coaching staff and had to make due without anyone doing the play calling. Unfortunately they lost 16-24 and they now have to regroup, find their coaches and gear up for the playoffs The Bengals have clinched a playoff spot, but not their division ad the Browns now only are a game behind. It will be interesting if Cincinnati finishes with a #2-#4 seed or a #5 seed as they head into their last match up against the San Fransisco 49ers.

The dolphins have a small chance on the #2 seed but both the Raiders and Bengals need to lose, Miami win, and even then they are just tied for the #2 seed. This means that Miami probably are better off resting their starters for their week 17 game against the Browns. Miami now needs to focus on their playoff run and make a push for a Super Bowl.

Rumors have it that Miami might be resting their starters for their playoff push so if the Browns have some luck they might be able to overtake the Bengals. However, since the Browns have clinched their playoff spot they might just be better off taking a chance and resting their starters while gearing up for a wild card game.

Our first AFC Wildcard game is between the Oakland Raiders and the Miami Dolphins. Miami got beat by the Browns in our week 17 match up and therefore dropped to a #3 seed instead of a #2 seed. They now have to face the strong Raiders who finished the season strong just behind the Broncos in the AFC West. It's a match up which can swing either way as we have not gotten word on Terelle Pryors condition. Will this hurt Oakland? They seem to be on the right track and are pretty good with Orlan Lane as they come off a loss to the Lions 24-31.
If we take a look at the Offensive part of the two teams we see that they are very close as Raiders sit 2nd in ppg, rushing/game and total yards/game whereas the Dolphins sit 3rd in all three categories. A big difference is that McFadden sits over 2k rushing for Oakland as Lamar Miller, who leads rushing in Miami only has slightly above 1100 yards rushing.
This is going to be a very exciting match up as we get to see two offensive powerhouses face off. LEt's see what happens. Will the Power Running game of the Raiders truck through Miami? Or will the Tannehill - Wallace connection prove to be too much for Oakland?
My bet is on the Raiders. 38-31.

The Colts did not rest their starters in week 17, but they lost anyways to the Atlanta Falcons who had to win to secure the last playoff spot in the NFC. This leads us to believe that the Colts were on a cruise control the last game. They face off against the Cincinnati Bengals who also come off a week 17 loss against the 5-10 49ers. When both team seem to look at the playoffs a week in advance you know this game will be a good one.
With the two teams being quite modest in personal and team offensive stats they sit at 14th and 13th in total yards per game respectively. However with the Bengals having allowed over 1k less yardage defensively there might be a slight favor for the Bengals in this match up.
I look forward to this game and it'll be interesting to see if this will be an upset. Will Luck be able to outpass Dalton? Will T-Rich be able to outrush Bernard?
My bets are on Indianapolis Colts this game. 27-14

Eagles win their week 17 match up against the Packers and lock up the #3 seed in the NFC. A game where Foles didn't have to shoulder a lot of work and the Eagles instead fielded Tyrod Taylor and Matt Barkley at QB instead of risking injury to Foles as well as letting Shady have a rest with only two carries. Seems very smart. The Falcons showed tremendous strength by beating the Colts in week 17 and with that lock up the last playoff spot in the NFC. Good job as now they have to re-focus and have to face Philadelphia.
If we take a look at the teams stats we see that the Falcons defense has almost let in 100 more points than the Eagles counterpart. If we then add that the Falcons are considerably worse on the road, there is probably an edge to the Eagles in this match up.
How will this one fare though? Will foles be able to find DeSean or will he hand it off to LeSean? On the other side we have Matt Ryan having his favorite target in Julio Jones. Can the strong Eagles secondary keep him to limited catches?
I predict an easy Eagle win. 42-21.

The Lions beat the Raiders in the last game of the regular season, but due to Eagles winning as well they get the #4 seed. However with that win they show strength due to the Raiders being a playoff team in the AFC. Their opponents, the Buccaneers have the same 12-4 record as the Lions with a last week win over the Saints. However since they play in the NFC South they unfortunately have to deal with the Panthers and only grab the #5 seed. Good job by the AFC South this year as they manage to get three playoff spots!
In this match up we see a very pass focused offense in Detroit, where Stafford threw for over 4700 yards and Megatron receiving 1946 of them. This makes them 3rd in passing yards per game. The Bucs on the other hand is only 19th in passing yards per game and is somewhat mediocre in the offensive game. However it's given them 12 wins on the season and that is due to good coaching, clock management and clutch performances.
This is a game which will probably be close. Will Calvin Johnson be able to outplay Darelle Revis? Will Glennon be able to outsidearm Stafford? One thing is for sure, it's going to be a hard fought battle.
I'm going with the Detroit Lions. 38-35

Indianapolis had a very smooth sailing through their wildcard match up vs the Bengals as the Bengals are in complete chaos as their ownership has abandoned the team during the playoffs. This meant no one knew if they were getting paid, if anyone would be able to pay their salary and if they even were welcome in the facilities in Cincinnati. However, the Colts showed no remorse as they lead the total yards category with over 100 yards on the day. They also won the turnover battle as well as having a better conversion rate. A good showing from T.Y. Hilton who had 10 catches for 150 yards receiving.
Now the Colts are heading to Mile High stadium in Denver and they have to watch out for Peyton and his deadly passing offense. The Broncos are second in passing yards per game and 2nd in points per game. Demaryius Thomas will be a handful for the Colts secondary as he has 1900 receiving yards on the season. It's going to be a heated game where two very similar defenses face off and where one would argue they have the same thing going in the air.
Will Indy be able to outmatch the Broncos and prove once and for all that they favor Luck over Manning? Or will the Broncos sit tight in their home town and display their passing prowess while T-Rich is relegated to the sidelines? One thing is for sure, this is a very important gut check for both teams if they want to head to the Super Bowl.
My bets are on the Denver Broncos. 37-31

And our week 17 match up face off yet again! The Dolphins had a strength check against the Raiders and Miami prove me wrong despite putting up worse yardage than the Raiders. The final score got down to one TD and while Miami didn't turn the ball over they managed to force a fumble which swung the game in their favor in the end. Tannehill threw for over 200 yards and 4 TDs on the day and with a RB tandem of Ellington-Gillislee the Dolphins manage to outplay Oakland!
Now they have to take on the strong Browns and last time they met Cleveland pulled out the win. However that game was faced with heavy rain, technical difficulties and therefore the headsets that the coaches wear were on the fritz. In the end Mallett managed to outpass Tannehill without a coach calling the plays and the Browns won 36-17. Will this be a repeat? The game is on the same grounds at FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland. Will the equipment be stable this time around or will this be another wild game where the players have to take orders from their leaders on the field?
In the end we must ask which team is the stronger of the two? Will the Browns be able to advance to a Conference championship game? Or will Miami be able to outsmart the Browns this time around? I hope there will be a possibility of the two coaches shaking hand and facing each other eye to eye on game day.
My prediction: Cleveland Browns. 42-28

Tampa bay manage to upset the Lions and win 35-31 against the Lions. In a game where they were outmatched in the air they just manage to squeak by on the ground and with a great deal of willpower the Bucs win 35-31. A good day for Glennon as he passes for over 220 yards and gets 3 TDs. However the deciding factor must come down to the turnovers which the Buccaneers win 3-1. Great showing and now they advance. however they have to face the best team in the league.
Comparing the two teams the Seattle Seahawks win in almost every category. RZ efficiency, 3rd & 4th down conversion rate, rushing yards, passing yards and points per game. The only thing the Bucs have that's better than the Seahawks is the total offensive yards. I guess they get to return more kicks and punts down in Tampa. The Bucs have almost allowed more than double the amount of points that the Seahawks have and they sit at 32 turnover on the season. If we look at Seattle, they only have 9.
It's going to be interesting and it very much feels like a David vs Goliath story. This might be Tampa's hardest game on the year. Can they keep cool and beat Seattle? On the other team we must ask us. Can they continue to steamroll their opposition?
I'm going with the Seattle Seahawks easy. 42-16

Philly win a close one against the Falcons 24-21 and the advance the face the Panthers. The Eagles manage more than 100 total yards better than Atlanta and they also pick up a forced fumble. Nick Foles shows strength and throws for over 280 yards and 3 TDs on the day. However, none of the teams managed to get their run game going. Shady got 10 touches and ran for 50 yards, which is a pretty good YPC but probably wont be enough against the Panthers. However the Eagles defense stepped up and showed why they are top tier and held T.J. Petrojevich to only 29 yards on 12 attempts.
The Panthers have sat and waited and now they are pouncing on the Eagles who they haven't faced yet this year. Will Carolina be able to steamroll on offense as they usually do? They are first in the league in passing yards/game, rushing yards/game, total yards/game and points/game. While Philadelphia doesn't sit better than 10 in all of those categories. The League leading, record breaking Kenjon Barner is very eager to face the Eagles and he's stated in a weekly interview that he's looking forward to "run all over [the Eagles] defense. [..] [the Eagles] have no chance of stopping me!".
It's going to be good, it's going to be hard fought and it hopefully will be a close game. Will Philadelphia be able to find the strength to over power the best offense the league has ever seen, or will the Panthers be able to crush their opponents as usual?
I'm feeling Carolina Panthers in this one. 49-35.

Miami beat the Browns in the divisional round and unfortunately we had yet another game distraught by technical difficulties. In the end the Browns coaches were absent and could not be reached meaning the Dolphins had to play by any means necessary. The final score was 34-18 in favor of Miami.
The Broncos beat the Colts in a blowout 37-7 as Peyton proved his dominance over Luck by throwing for 298 yards to Luck's 168. Peyton also had 4 TDs and 1 INT to Luck's rather modest 1 TD and 5 INTs. In the end the Broncos seemed unstoppable as they won the turnover battle 2 to 6. They also put up more yards both on the ground and in the air. However, no team really got the ball going on the ground as they both favored the pass.
Now the Miami Dolphins have to travel to Denver to take on this strong passing attack. Will Miami be able to hold on? Will Tannehill be able to limit his turnovers? Even though Miami lost the turnover battle they managed to beat the Browns so if they can limit them they should be able to put up a very good fight against the Broncos. In the end it comes down to gameplanning and while there's a strong passing game for both teams Miami tends to run the ball a bit more than Denver. This shows as the Broncos still has no player over 1000 yards rushing on the season. When comparing the teams they are extremely close, almost the same defensive and offensive yardage. But as said Miami are very good at running the ball while the Broncos are very good at passing it. They have similar turnovers as Miami sits at 2 more with one more game played.
It's going to be tight, it's going to be hard fought and two teams who have different game plans face each other. Will the Broncos be able to air it out at Mile High, or will the Dolphins make a splash and continue their playoff success?
Even though Miami is on a roll. I'm going with Denver Broncos 35-31

Panthers managed to beat the Eagles in a game that was decided by one score. 35-28. One big part of the win was the four interceptions that Panthers snagged while they only gave up two of their own. Cam had a good day with 80% completion rate and the only passes he missed were interceptions. Barner had a grea day on the ground, rushing for 182 yards and two touchdowns. All in all Carolina proved to be the better team and beat the Eagles in most categories.
The Seahawks beat the Buccaneers quite easily as they won 35-10. Beastmode had 21 carries for almost 240 yards and three TDs with his longest run being a 70 yard blast. In the air Russel threw for over 200 yards, two TDs and only missed two passes. However Seattle finished the day with no turnovers but caused two themselves. However, one thing to note is that David Buehler, Seahawks kicker missed two out of two FGs in the game. Is this worrying?
Now that these two behemoths are facing off we are hoping for an incredible game. Comparing the two we have the leagues best offense going up against the leagues best defense. However both teams have proved that they are top tier on both sides of the ball. Including playoff games the Panthers sit over 10k offensive yards to the Seahawks 6700. Defensively the Seahawks has allowed only 3743 yards to the Panthers 4900. However, the Seahawks also have allowed almost 100 points less on defense than the Panthers. Now that these two teams are pitted against each other we surely have a great bout to look forward to.
One thing is for sure, it's going to be exciting and close. Some even argue that this is the "real" ELY SuperBowl. When we asked on the streets of Seattle, over 80% of the fans considered this a tougher opponent than any of the AFC contenders. All we know for sure is that the team who wins is going to be a favorite for the Super Bowl this year. Will the Seahawks prove that defense wins championships, or will the Panthers prove that a number one offense is unstoppable?
My bets are on the Seattle Seahawks in a close one. 31-28

The Broncos crushed the Dolphins in the Conference Championship game 63-21 and became the AFC Champions. It was a game where Broncos put up over 350 yards passing and added 134 yards on the ground. However the big difference between the two teams were the turnovers. Tannehill threw 16 passes and five of them were intercepted. This meant Broncos got an immense help from their defense. They also showed that with a RB rotation they could squeak out some yards as Jahvid Best finished with 3 TDs and 59 yards rushing. It seems like the Broncos are set on a Super Bowl as Manning stepped it up big time, threw 18 passes with no incompletions for 363 yards and 3 TDs. They also showed diversity in the receiving as no receiver finished above 5 catches.
The Panthers took the chance and proved to be one of the strongest teams in ELY as they were the ones to finally break the Seahawks undefeated streak. In a game where it came down to OT due to several factors. The Seahawks dropped a clear INT and despite Carolina Fumbling the Seahawks could not come up with it and thus it went into OT where the veteran Ed Reed forced Marshawn Lynch to fumble in OT. The final score was 37-34 in a game that should be remembered forever. It was a game where two teams were flawless up until the last Seahawk OT Drive which sealed the game. Some good statlines of the day were Super Cam going 17/22 and 4 TDs, Barner getting 25 touches for over 200 yards and Golden Tate having two clutch catches to extend and finish off Panther drives.
When looking at the two teams together we tried to get in touch with the coaching staff to see how they feel before the Super Bowl. We got a hold of Allstar, the coach of the Panthers to give us some insight. He feels very confident going in to the Super Bowl as he is very happy with his front 4. Especially in pass rushing situations where the Panthers put up Calvin Smith, Greg Hardy, Kawann Short and Jamon Hale with a honorable mention to Charles Johnson who has stepped in for an injured Aaron Maybin since week 15. As long as these guys can keep a constant pressure on Peyton they should be set. Allstar distinctively touched on the subject to limit Peyton's passing yardage to under 250 and with clutch players such as Sam Shields and Ed Reed it's very much possible. Ed Reed who is probably in his last season in the league was a major hero vs the Seahawks and he has proven that his last stint is all about that ring and not the money as he took less to play for a contender.
As stated the gameplan is to limit Mannings passing yardage, but also to feed the record-breaking Kenjon Barner the ball to run wild on the Broncos defense. The Panthers know that Broncos have a good defense especially with Von Miller's presence on the field, but the biggest worry is, again, their up tempo, high octane, offense. Currently the Broncos lead the league in INTs while the Panthers sit at 6th. And therefore it should be a good gameplan for the Panther's as they focus on the ground with Barner who seems to be a once in a lifetime talent. All in all Caronlina feels very confident going into the Super Bowl as they've always had this goal ever since going down against Seattle last year. However Allstar said that he's looking forward to the game and that it'll be interesting facing an elite team in the Broncos.
Unfortunately we haven't been able to get a hold of zigzag or any of the Broncos front office before the game, but we're very condident that they are preparing hard behind closed doors. As previously stated they have an extremely good secondary and their passing offense is second to none. Will Peyton be able to keep up his winning ways against the Panthers as they now fight for the Lombardi Trophy?

It's going to be a very hard fought game and the question we must ask us, is the Panthers content with beating the Seahawks? Did they pout everything on the field and will they be able to recuperate for the Super Bowl? Will the Broncos steamroll their opponents like they've done so far in the playoffs? I would be lying if I said that one team would be favored. I think it all comes down to who's the hungriest and if both teams can continue on the high level that they've shown they can play at.
To round off I'll give you a quote from the Panthers head coach,
Allstar: This season has been a great one, and we cannot wait to play and show the world that the Panthers are for real and the Lombardi trophy belongs in the NFC.
This is really tough. I'm leaning Carolina Panthers 41-35.

Congratulations to the best team in ELY this season! Allstar managed to lead his Carolina Panthers to a victory that contained everything a Super Bowl should. The Final score was 49-45 in a game where the dagger came in form of an interception on the last Bronco drive under the 2 min warning in the 4th quarter. Both teams put up extraordinary numbers on the day. two turnovers on both sides of the ball with the clutch one coming late in the 4th. If we look at the Super Bowl MPV, Kenjon Barner, we clearly see he had a monster day, rushing for over 300 yards and 2 TDs. Insane! The game featured two teams trading scores with the Broncos beign up several times before being forced to kick a FG late in the 4th and Carolina then scoring a TD. Thus the last drive commenced and ended on a clutch INT by LB Jamar Chaney.

After the game we caught up with Allstar to get his input on the game and on the next season.
When asked how he felt during the game he answered it was the most intense game the Panther's have encountered all year. They had no answer for Jahvid best and there were times he was worried they wouldn't get a stop. The Panthers clearly had a hard time with his speed and quickness. But he also felt very confident in his own running game as stated above when Barner went off for a career day.
When he was asked to comment on his MVP, Kenjon Barner, he praised him and and his historic season. On the defensive side his MVP was previously mentioned Chaney who had that INT in the red zone.
We wanted to get a few words on the Panthers go ahead drive after the Broncos FG drive to which Allstar responded: "The game defining moment was Barner's run to set up the eventual go ahead score. He could have broken it for a TD but wisely dove at the 12 to force Denver to use their timeouts."

Now it's time to look forward and see what the Panthers are planning to do next season. Will we get to see a repeat? Allstar says it's been a hell of a ride for him and his team and the season was historic on many fronts. One especially sweet deal was beating the Seahawks and knocking them off their undefeated streak. Their plans now for FA and the offseason are to become quicker on defense. After watching Best in the Super Bowl Allstar feels that Carolina might head into a 3-4 defense with more physical DEs and MLBs. They're also hoping they can replace the departing Ed Reed with their young guys who've sat behind him now for a year.
When looking at the draft we clearly see the Panthers sitting with no picks in the first three rounds as they've sacrificed their draft to win the Super Bowl. However Allstar doesn't fret as he acknowledges that this draft is very deep and he is confident he'll find talent in the later rounds.
We touched on the next season with Allstar and he mentioned aside from a repeat, he's looking forward to the Seattle game as the Seahawks obviously have a score to settle with the streak-breakers. The Panthers will be ready and are looking forward to that match up. With an upgrade on the defensive side of the ball Allstar feels he'll field a even better team next year as they managed to keep important pieces like Cam by tagging him.

Qroze
Record 2-0

Bengals show strength in the beginning by taking a firm lead of AFC North. They also prove that they are strong on both sides of the ball as they have allowed the fewest points in the whole league. It's going to be interesting how far the new management in Cincinnati can take the team. The Bengals blew out the ravens 42-6 and they sit top 7 in rushing yards as they rely heavily on Gio Bernard. This week the Bengals head to Buffalo to face the Bills who have lost two in a row.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 16

xKulp
Record 2-0

The Vikings show immense power on offense as they totally destroy the Bears 70-28. AP has already reached 359 rushing yards as the Vikings sit first in rushing, second in total yards and first in points per game. However due to a recent scandal AP has to sit out for a game and the numbers will surely deflate. Lets see what the Vikings can do agaisnt their divisional rival Green Bay as they head over there to take on the winless Packers.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 12
4. (-) Kansas City Chiefs
texasaggies2013
Record 2-0

The Chiefs have set out to prove that they are a team to fear this year as they have a great team on both sides of the ball. The big surprise is Brandon Weeden who has emerged as the top guy in KC. with over 500 passing yards on the season and with a strong running game with Jamaal Charles the Texans have displayed great offense. They are also very good at defense as they have only let teams score 27 points against them.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 25
5. (-) San Fransisco 49ers
SpiderRock88
Record 2-0

San Fransisco beat the Cards in Arizona and improve to 2-0. With Kaepernick throwing for 7 TDs to 0 INTs in the first two games they show that they are very confident in Kaep's abilities and that the running game the 49ers can complement him is very strong. This week the 49ers head to New Jersey to take on the Jets as they look to keep steady pace with the Seahawks in the NFC West.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 6
6. (-) Dallas Cowboys
SlimReaper813
Record 2-0

The Cowboys have shown  that they can pass as they sit 1st in passing yards per game. This last week they beat the Ravens in a close bout 39-35 with Tyler Wilson throwing for over 200. This week the Cowboys take on the Steelers at JerryWorld and even though the Steelers are 0-2 they have a strong defense. Can they stop the Cowboy air attack? It's going to be interesting to see what the Dallas guys can accomplish this year!

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 7
7. (-) Denver Broncos
zigzag
Record 2-0

The Super Bowl runner-ups still has Peyton Manning at the helm and they look to make a strong push this year while they can utilize his prowess in the pocket. The Broncos come fresh off a victory against the Chargers. This year however they seem to rely on their rushing game a little bit more than last season where Peyton was doing almost all the work. This week they head to Tampa for a showdown against the 1-1 Bucs.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 15
8. (-) Miami Dolphins
t_wells94
Record 2-0

The Dolphins grab a hold of the AFC East and they check in at number 8 on our Power Rankings. After a very powerful outing against the Jets at home they manage to go 2-0. Teams has to respect the Tannehill to Wallace connection as Wallace sits over 200 receiving yards thus far. This week the Dolphins take on the Arizona Cardinals inter-conference match up. It's going to be interesting how good Wallace will be at the end of the year.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 21
9. (-) Philadelphia Eagles
Xedo19
Record 2-0

The ever strong Eagles manage to take a hold of the 9th spot on our Power Rankings coming off a victory against the Lions 27-24 which shows that Philadelphia are a team to watch for this year. However they are now heading into one of their hardest match ups of the year going into Seattle to take on the 12th man. It's going to be interesting to see if Nick Foles can handle the pressure and if LeSean McCoy can continue his success against the strong Seahawk defense.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 10
10. (-) Tennesse Titans
deuce1413
Record 2-0

The Titans check in at our last spot of the Power Rankings as they sit atop AFC South. Tennessee come off a close win against the divisional rival Texans. They have acquired Doug Baldwin this off season which is Luke Chatam's primary weapon to throw to. They go from one divisional match up to the next as they now take on the Jaguars at home. It's going to be interesting to follow the AFC South this year as there are many new faces and teams that might be strong.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings Empty Week 4

Post by Rox Sat May 17, 2014 4:39 pm

Week 4

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 26
1. (1) Seattle Seahawks
Ents
Record 3-0

The Seahawks continue to prove that they are contenders by completely shutting down the Eagles offense and winning 38-3. Exemplary display of defense where they only gave up 127 yards on the day, notching 5 interceptions! They affirm themselves at the top of our Power Rankings this week as they now head to St. Louis to take on their divisional rival, Rams. The Rams are 2-1 and might give up a fight in this one. Seattle sit 3rd in rushing yards per game and have a strong double headed attack with Beastmode and Thomas.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 4
2. (2) Cincinnati Bengals
Qroze
Record 3-0

Cincinnati prove that they are a well run team with a huge win in Buffalo where they manage to outplay the Bills 42-14. A good showing one defense as the Bengals intercept EJ Manuel 4 times to Daltons single int. Well fought game as they now take on the 0-3 Steelers. Will the fortune continue to show in Cincinnati? A team to keep an eye out for in the AFC are the Bengals.

3. (3) Minnesota Vikings
xKulp
Record 3-0

The Vikings check in at third place on this weeks Power Rankings ats they beat their rival Green Bay in a 52 to 24 showdown. In a game where Adrian Peterson was suspended Beanie Wells took over the workload and did so in great fashion rushing for 125 yards and 2 TDs. A nice statline is Carrington Maxwells single run of the day which went for 77 yards and a TD. This week AP is back as the Vikings head to Chicago to face the winless Bears.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 12
4. (4) Kansas City Chiefs
texasaggies2013
Record 3-0

Not much change in the Rankings this week as we also find Chiefs at the number four spot. Kansas Beat the Raiders 42-24 which was the most points the KC defense has let up in these first games. However they show tremendous power as they cause two fumbles and one INT during the game. KC now sit top 6 in both passing and rushing yards per game. They are, however, heading into their bye week so expect them to fall a few spots in the rankings.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 6
5. (6) Dallas Cowboys
SlimReaper813
Record 3-0

The Cowboys manage to move up in the Rankings with their close 30-24 win against the Pittsburg Steelers. In a game where the Cowboys fielded both Josh Johnson and Tyler Wilson as they combine for 15/18 passes we have to ask if there is a QB controversy in Dallas or if Wilson felt that something was hurting him on the field?  We will have to check in when the Cowboys take on the Giants this week and see who will take the reigns of the offense.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 7
6. (7) Denver Broncos
zigzag
Record 3-0

The Broncos continue to win and their hunt for that Super Bowl is well on as they beat the Bucs 42-28. In a game where the Broncos defense step up and get 4 INTs and the captain of the defense, Von Miller, manage to grab 2 of his own the Broncos show tremendous strength. The Broncos true colors are showing as Peyton threw for over 330 yards on the day. This week the Broncos head to Cleveland to take on the Browns who were in pre-season turmoil where the fans didn't know if the owner and staff supported the team. However they seem to have found renewed faith and it should be a good game.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 15
7. (8) Miami Dolphins
t_wells94
Record 3-0

Miami has shown that they want the ball and they're gonna score. in an excruciating 66-21 victory against the Cardinals, Mike Wallace manage to grab 12 catches for 313 yards. What a monster day. However After getting hit after the catch so many times he is listed as questionable for the divisional match up against the Jets this week. Will we see Wallace get some snaps or will he be out for the day? One thing is for sure, he's going to be missed by Tannehill who has found his favorite receiver this year.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 10
8. (10) Tennesse Titans
deuce1413
Record 3-0

Tennessee prove to be a strong team this year as they beat the Jags quite handily 52-10. In a game where the Titans defense played out of their minds. Intercepting the ball 7 times and added a fumble recovery. 4 of the INTs came from Corey McCray and 3 from Tarvaris Jackson. It can't look good for their trade stock after that showing. An utter failure for McCray as he goes 3 for 12 on the day and actually completed more passes to the Titans defense than to his own team. This week the Titans are going on a bye week which is probably good for their opponents.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 25
9. (5) San Fransisco 49ers
SpiderRock88
Record 2-1

The 49ers drop in our Power Rankings as they lose to the Jets 9-17. A fairly horrible game which fortunately now is in the books and both teams have to look forward. San Fransisco have to step it up to not risk sliding out of the Power Rankings and in the long run the playoffs. This week the 49ers face the Redskins at home and it should be a great game where we see two of the best mobile QBs on the field.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 21
10. (9) Philadelphia Eagles
Xedo19
Record 2-1

Unfortunately the Eagles had no chance against the Seahawks this time around and they fall in the Rankings. There are some teams sniffing to take over the last spots in the Rankings and if the Eagles doesn't step it up they'll fall. This week the Eagles take on the Ravens as they look to bounce back. Can Nick Foles prove that he isn't a one-hit wonder?

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings Empty Week 5

Post by Rox Tue May 20, 2014 4:37 pm

Week 5

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 26
1. (1) Seattle Seahawks
Ents
Record 4-0

Seattle beat their divisional rival St. Louis in a strong fashion. 42-3 is the final score in a game where the Seahawks defense were more than stellar. The Rams had only four first downs the whole game. Incredible. This week the Seahawks are taking on the 49ers in an early game which is underway as we get this report out. It'll be interesting how well the new ownership in San Fransisco can match up against the powerhouse in Seattle.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 4
2. (2) Cincinnati Bengals
Qroze
Record 4-0

The Bengals beat the Steelers 48-20. It was a close game offensive wise but the Bengals proved superior on defense as they intercepted the Steelers four times to zero. a good day for Cincinnati as they hold on to the number two spot in our Power Rankings. This week however the Bengals have a bye week which means they'll cool down but can focus on tending to nagging pains on the personnel. Keep an eye on Dalton as he have almost broken 1k passing in four games played.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 16
3. (3) Minnesota Vikings
xKulp
Record 4-0

Minnesota got their big star AP back for this game as he's sat out one game with a suspension. He had a good day, running for 193 yards and two TDs as he helped propel the Vikings to a 45-10 victory over the Bears. AP not have 552 yards on the season and it'll be interesting to see how good he will be this year. This week the Vikes take on the Lions at home and according to sources it should be a close game. The game was scheduled for today but during play it was postponed due to lighting issues in the stadium. We'll see how it works out.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 7
4. (6) Denver Broncos
zigzag
Record 4-0

Denver manage to get the upper hand against the Browns and beat them in a close game 27-21. We'll have to attribute this to Mallett's six(!) thrown interceptions on the day. The Denver defense seems extremely capable at causing turnovers as they now move up in the Power Rankings as well as re-affirm their spot in the league. Watch out for the Denver D? the Broncos welcome the Raiders this week in a divisional matchup and it will be interesting to see how the AFC West shape up after this game.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 15
5. (7) Miami Dolphins
t_wells94
Record 4-0

Miami also take a step up in the Power Rankings as they defeat the Jets in hostile territory 49-28. AS we suspected Wallace did not see the field on the day as he was just listed as "out" on the official score card. We've been trying to reach the Dolphins front office but has yet to receive any response. It still worked out for Miami as Tannehill threw for 254 yards and four TDs and he even let Mettenberger get his first pass attempt and completion in the game. This week the Dolphins head to Indianapolis as they look to take a vice grip on the AFC East.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 25
6. (9) San Fransisco 49ers
SpiderRock88
Record 3-1

The 49ers improve to 3-1 as they beat the Redskins. in a game where the mobile QBs battled it out in the air but in the end it was RG3 who threw the pick and San Fransisco could seal the deal. This week the 49ers take on the Seahawks which will prove to be very important for both the 49ers and the rest of their division. Can SF show composure against the tough Seattle D and can they keep their heads cool on defense when they face beastmode?

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 21
7. (10) Philadelphia Eagles
Xedo19
Record 3-1

Philadelphia bounce back after their loss to the 'Hawks and they beat the Ravens in a strong fashion 35-10. Good job by Nick Foles & Co as Foles is quickly closing in on the 1k passing mark. The Eagles are a potent defense and if they can keep it up they will have a good battle with the Cowboys for the division this season. This week they are sitting on a bye so expect them to drop off in the Rankings.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 12
8. (4) Kansas City Chiefs
texasaggies2013
Record 3-0

Unfortunately for the Chiefs they had a bye week so they fall in the Rankings. However they should now be fresh and ready for their game in Tampa Bay. A good feat for the Chiefs is that they have very good yardage per game as they sit top 6 in both passing and rushing yards per game. Let's see how Weeden and Charles handle the Buccaneers this week though.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 10
9. (8) Tennesse Titans
deuce1413
Record 3-0

The Titans still sit atop of the AFC South despite having a bye week. They now move to play the Jaguars on the road and it should be a very interesting match up as the Jags surely will want revenge for week 3. It's going to be a good game hopefully and we'll have to see which team is the stronger one now that both teams have had a feel for each other.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 29
10. (-) Carolina Panthers
AllstaRF911
Record 3-1

The Panthers now make their first appearance of the season on the Power Rankings! Unfortunately they lost against the strong Seahawks the first game of the season but they've been strong since then and now they've earned a spot on the list. The defensing Super Bowl champions keep going at it with their powerful offense as they beat the Bucs 59-22. However this year they sit only 3rd in points per game so far. A bit uncharacteristic but there have been some issues with the teams that are ahead (suspensions anyone?). This week they take on the 2-2 Saints and if Carolina play like they should be doing they are probably going to breeze up the Power Rankings as they sit 1st in passing yards and total yards per game as well as 4th in rushing yards per game.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings Empty Week 6

Post by Rox Sat May 24, 2014 7:22 am

Week 6

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 26
1. (1) Seattle Seahawks
Ents
Record 5-0

The Seahawks improve to 5-0 by beating the 49ers 17-3. It was a close game until the final minutes when the Seattle defense came up big. Seattle had a good day on the ground, totaling almost 200 yards. This means they've got a stranglehold on NFC West. The Rams are chasing, three games behind as they match up this week. It looks like Seattle hasn't let up on the gas and they are determined to show that their loss to the Panthers last year was a mere fluke.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 16
2. (3) Minnesota Vikings
xKulp
Record 5-0

Minnesota got very lucky as their game with the lions got delayed and then postponed mid-game due to very bad weather conditions. Lions fans argue t hat they would have won the original game, however the re-match proved that the Vikings wanted it more. The final score was 48-20 and the Vikings should be extremely happy with that result. They manage to advance into second place on our Power Rankings though. This week the Vikings take on the cardinals which should be a nice gut check for the men in purple.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 7
3. (4) Denver Broncos
zigzag
Record 5-0

The Broncos continue to climb in our Power Rankings as they had a well fought game against their division rival, Raiders. It was a game where Peyton threw for 462 yards and two TDs as well as Stephens-Howling added 150 on the ground. It was well needed though as the game came down to a shootout where the broncos pulled ahead and won 48-45. Well done as Manning yet again show a display of spreading the ball around the field. The Broncos now have a game against the Ravens at home which on paper should be a win, however Baltimore just grabbed their first win of the season. Look out!

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 15
4. (5) Miami Dolphins
t_wells94
Record 5-0

BAM! The Dolphins show that they came to play and they shred the Colts 58-34 in a game where Ryan Tannehill threw for 488 yards and 5 TDs. His favorite target was the returning Mike Wallace who had 12 catches for 355 yards and three TDs! that's more catches than the other receivers on the Dolphins combined on the day! However there has been yet another PED scandal in the league and we've received word that BOTH Wallace & Tanehill are have received suspensions. The Dolphins GM, t_wells94, tells us that "Wallace isn't a huge part of the 'fins game plan although his stats say otherwise." and that they're "going to throw the ball to their other, bigger receivers" as well as letting Lamar Miller see more action. On the subject of who's getting the start against the Texans this week the answer was Josh Freeman. However he's being kept on a short leash as Mettenberger sits right behind him.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 12
5. (8) Kansas City Chiefs
texasaggies2013
Record 4-0

The Chiefs beat the Bucs 31-24 in a game where no turnovers were caused on either side of the ball. In the end it was the powerful running game of Jamaal Charles and the Chiefs that came out on top as Charles finished the day with 191 yards and 3 TDs. A good bounce-back from their bye week. This week they take on the strong Carolina Panthers who are on a roll lately. Has the Chiefs luck ran out or will they prevail over the defending Super Bowl Champs?

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 10
6. (9) Tennesse Titans
deuce1413
Record 4-0

Our last undefeated team are the Titans as they come off their bye week and beat the Jags 37-7. It was a strong showing for the Tennessee defense as they pick off Corey McCray four times. There have been trade rumors in Jacksonville as they are rumored to target Tyrod Taylor from the Vikings. However the Titans have now a firm grip of the AFC South and now head to New England to take on the Patriots.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 4
7. (2) Cincinnati Bengals
Qroze
Record 4-0

The Bengals had their bye week and as a result the slide down a  few spots in the rankings. However the bye week proves to be a benefit for Cincinnati as they can lick their wounds and now come back and face the Raiders at home. The Bengals have only turned the ball over four times in as many games and if they can continue to be disciplined with the ball they should be able to beat the Raiders.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 29
8. (10) Carolina Panthers
AllstaRF911
Record 4-1

Carolina move up two spots in the Power Rankings as they dispatch of the Saints in easy fashion. The final score was 49-17 in a game where Cam Newton threw only 12 passes but completed 10 and amounted 4 TDs with those passes. Kenjon Barner, the record breaker from last year, added 159 yards on the ground as well as Cedric Steward getting a few carries for a successful day. This week the Panthers take on the Chiefs and if Carolina can win this one they should continue to surge up the Power Rankings.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 6
9. (-) Dallas Cowboys
SlimReaper813
Record 4-1

The Cowboys bounce back from their loss with a win in a low scoring affair against the Packers. The Cowboys win 13-6 as only one TD was scored on the day. Dallas managed to stop Aaron Rodgers as he attempted to throw 41 times(!) but only completing 25 of his attempts. Tyler wilson on the other hand threw 17/30 for more yards than ARod and also added a TD. The Cowboys now have taken the lead in the NFC East as the Eagles were on a bye week. This week, however, the Cowboys go to New Orleans and hope to improve their record and ward off the chasing Eagles.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 17
10. (-) New England Patriots
Rox
Record 4-1

The Patriots make their first ever appreance on the Power Rankings as they beat the Jets 38-21. Johnny Manziel threw for 262 yards and three TDs on the day and Josh Boyce caught three passes for over 100 yards and a TD. The Patriots are wildly chasing the Dolphins who currently have the lead in the AFC East and they need first to look at the Titans as Tennessee now come into town to face off against the Patriots. If the Patriots wish to have a chance at the division title this year they probably have to break the Titans undefeated streak.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings Empty Week 7

Post by Rox Tue May 27, 2014 1:32 pm

Week 7

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 26
1. (1) Seattle Seahawks
Ents
Record 6-0

The Juggernaut in Seattle keeps churning on and they beat the Rams 38-3. Russell had to throw a bit more this game but did so exceptionally well as he completed 18 of 22 for 3 TDs. The Seahawk defense steps up yet again and while they do not intercept Bradford they case two fumbles on the day and hold the rams to three points. The Seahawks now sit on a bye week and it'll be interesting if they drop any positions in the Power Rankings due to it or if they'll sit firmly atop our Rankings.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 16
2. (2) Minnesota Vikings
xKulp
Record 6-0

The Vikes had an interesting time to arrange their game as their stadium got a power outage just before the game and it had to be postponed. As they scrambled to get everything up and running there was no chance for the game to be broadcast on TV and in the end only eyewitnesses was there to witness the 44-38 win over the Cardinals. What's interesting is that the game was mostly played in the air as AP only got 9 carries on the day. This week Minnesota is taking on the 2-4 Falcons and it'll be interesting to see if AP get's more carries.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 7
3. (3) Denver Broncos
zigzag
Record 6-0

The Broncos completely shut out the Ravens as they win over Baltimore 36-0 at Mile High. What a game for the guys in orange as they intercept Flacco three times on the day. An interesting stat line is LaRod Stephens-Howling's as he got 20 carries for only 69 yards with one TD on the day. However if the Broncos control the ball and shut out their opponents they should have no problem this week against their divisional rival, Kansas City Chiefs who sit at 4-1.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 15
4. (4) Miami Dolphins
t_wells94
Record 6-0

The Dolphins beat the Texans 35-14 as a press-release before the game let the league know that Tennehill's and Wallace's suspensions will not come in effect until after the Bye week. The dolphins head into their bye week this week after winning against the Texans in a game where Lamar Millers statline was even more incredible than the Broncos' Howling. 21 carries for 66 yards. Let's see if Lamar will be relied on so heavily as they now have to re-focus without their top two players.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 4
5. (7) Cincinnati Bengals
Qroze
Record 5-0

The Bengals bounce right back after their Bye week by beating the Raiders 13-10. and the jump up in the Power Rankings after dropping the week before. They now head to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers. in a game that should be an easy win as the state of the Steelers is unsure. Currently the ownership, the GM and the HC wants different things and are pulling the team in different directions. We don't know yet what will happen to the Steelers but in the meantime we do know that the Bengals are heavily favored in their match up.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 29
6. (8) Carolina Panthers
AllstaRF911
Record 5-1

Carolina keeps on winning as they beat the Chiefs in an astounding fashion, 63-42. It seems like the weels are turning like last year as Cam throws for 5 TDs and adds one on the ground together with Barner who rushes for 198 yards and 2 TDs. The Panther defense show up big as they cause five turnovers to the Panther zero. Carolina now take a step up in the Rankings again as they now take on the 2-4 Raiders which seemingly shouldn't be a problem for the Panthers.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 17
7. (10) New England Patriots
Rox
Record 5-1

New England beat the Titans at foxboro as they improve to 5-1 with a 49-24 victory. The big talk around the Patriots is of course Johnny Football who threw 9/11 for 118 yards and a TD while also getting six carries for 62 yards and another TD. Ridley helped out on the ground with 15 carries for 180 yards and 2 TDs. Now the Patriots sit on a bye week and they'll probably slip a few spots in the rankings when the other teams catch up.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 21
8. (-) Philadelphia Eagles
Xedo19
Record 4-1

The Eagles win the match up against the Giants 49-21 and they retake the lead in NFC East as the Cowboys lose. They also benefit by re-taking a spot in the Power Rankings as they prove that they shouldn't be counted out just yet. The Eagles now take on the 3-3 saints and if Nick Foles & LeSean McCoy can continue with his success he the Eagles should have a good chance of beating the men in gold.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 12
9. (5) Kansas City Chiefs
texasaggies2013
Record 4-1

The Chiefs couldn't withstand the pressure from the Panthers as they lose quite handily 42-63. Even though Weeden threw for over 300 yards he put the ball more times in the opponent's hands than in the end zone. Jamaal Charles had a very good day as he took the ball to the house 5 times on 24 attempts, gaining 169 yards on the day. However it wasn't enough and they now  sit two games behind the Broncos who are in the lead in the AFC West. This week the Chiefs now head to Denver and it is a must-win if they want to grab a hold of that division title.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 10
10. (6) Tennesse Titans
deuce1413
Record 4-1

The titans unfortunately lose to the Patriots as they lose 24-49. It was a weird game for Tennessee as many accounts tell us that their receivers seem to have put on the wrong gloves on the day and many touchdown passes were dropped. Maybe the chilly weather in New England came as a surprise this early in the season as the Titans lose the Turnover battle 3 to 1. Tennessee sits firmly atop of their division however as they now take on the Texans which should be a game the Titans look to bounce back from their loss.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings Empty Week 8

Week 8

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 16
1. (2) Minnesota Vikings
xKulp
Record 7-0

The Viking climb up to the first spot of our Power Rankings by beating the Falcons 42-27. With Carrington Maxwell having a great day, throwing for over 229 yards and three TDs while adding another TD on the ground. And to add to that he finishes the game with a 90% completion rating! However there is a lot of turmoil in Minnesota as we've just received word that the coach has re-signed from his position and is now heading to coach a college team! We are unsure of just what team it is currently, but there are rumors it might be Auburn or Alabama. It will be interesting to see what happens to this undefeated team now and if they'll find a new coach.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 26
2. (1) Seattle Seahawks
Ents
Record 6-0

The Seahawks were on a bye week so they naturally slip one place in the Rankings. They are still undefeated though and they have the next best rushing yardage per game as well as the least points allowed. Seattle are hungry for another Super Bowl and they seem to be on the right path. This week they take on the divisional rival Cardinals who sit at 3-5. It shouldn't be a big problem for Russell & co. At least on paper.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 4
3. (5) Cincinnati Bengals
Qroze
Record 6-0

The Bengals beat the steelers 59-17 and manage to take a few steps up in the Power Rankings. Even though Andy Dalton threw two INTs he manged to amass 327 yards and 4 TDs as well. A big point in this game was that Ben Roethlisberger got sacked 5(!) times by the Bengal defense as cushing lead the way with two sacks. This week the Bengals head to Denver, who just lost their first game of the season. Will the Bengals manage to beat on the Broncos or will the Broncos bounce back?

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 15
4. (4) Miami Dolphins
t_wells94
Record 6-0

The Dolphins sit firmly at the number four spot as they had a bye week this week. They now have had ample chance to gameplan and draw up plays without Tannehill and Wallace as they both sit out their next game against the Bills. It's going to be interesting to see how it goes since Tannehill leads the league in passing yards per game and with Freeman getting the nod it'll be interesting what the Bills defense can accomplish.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 29
5. (6) Carolina Panthers
AllstaRF911
Record 6-1

The Panthers beat up the Raiders 48-6 in a game where the Panther D intercept Terelle Pryor six times! Demario davis has a monster day on defense as he gathers four tackles and three(!) INTs. The Panthers prove that they are well versed in defense and that they know how to win on both sides of the ball. Barner & Steward combine for almost 300 yards on the ground and Newton, who didn't have to play the final minutes threw for three TDs. Carolina now sit on a bye week themselves and it'll be interesting if they can come back with the same force.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 7
6. (3) Denver Broncos
zigzag
Record 6-1

Denver drops a few spots in the Power Rankings due to losing against their rival, Kansas City Chiefs. The Final score was 55-49 in a game that swayed back and forth with Jamaal Charles being the deciding factor. Charles finishes with 25 carries for 247 yards and a TD while the Bronco counterpart, Howling, get only 6 carries for 68 yards and a TD. In the air Peyton was superior yardage wise, but Weeden gets five TDs on the day, three passing and two rushing. Unfortunately for the Broncos they now have the Chiefs breathing down their neck with one game in hand. This week Denver now take on the Bengals and it is a must-win for Peyton and the boys.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 12
7. (9) Kansas City Chiefs
texasaggies2013
Record 5-1

The Chiefs prove that they are here to stay as they come right back after their loss to Carolina and beat the Broncos 55-49. Jamaal Charles now have broken the 1k rushing mark and Weeden has thrown for over 1500 yards. as the dynamic duo continues to improve they now are chasing the Broncos hard as they have one game in hand. This week they take on the Chargers who sit at 1-5 and it should be a relatively easy game for Kansas City. If they can continue their strong play for the rest of the year they should be contenders.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 21
8. (8) Philadelphia Eagles
Xedo19
Record 5-1

The Eagles sit put in the Power Rankings as they manage to win over the Saints 28-21. With the Philadelphia defense sacking Saints QBs four times Teddy Bridgewater had to come out of the game after taking hard hits and throwing two INTs. Nick Foles throws for four TDs and three INTs but shows that the Eagles were the better team in the end. This week the Eagles take on the surging Tampa Bay Buccaneers who sit at 3-4.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 10
9. (10) Tennesse Titans
deuce1413
Record 5-1

The Titans completely blow the Texans out of the water with a 87-34 victory which is a record in ELY for most points scored by a team! Tennessee prove that they are well rounded and extremely good as despite Chatam & Fales only throwing 10 times combined and no HB getting over 167 yards on the day they manage to win by a huge margin. The real heros of the game are the Titans defense as the Texans threw the ball 60(!) times on the day and the Titans manage to pick 6 of those attempts and adding three fumble recoveries for a total of 9 turnovers which lead to three defensive TDs. This week the Titans take on the Jets and if their last game was any indication, the Jets would do best to fear the Titan Defense.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 17
10. (7) New England Patriots
Rox
Record 5-1

The Patriots slip down a few spots in the Power Rankings due to being on a bye week. New England are chasing the Dolphins for the AFC East top spot and currently they sit 6th in rushing yards per game. Let's see if Johnny Football can get the job done as they now take on the Texans at home in Foxboro. Houston sit at 2-4 and it should be a win for the Patriots.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings Empty Week 9

Post by Rox Tue Jun 03, 2014 3:53 pm

Week 9

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 26
1. (2) Seattle Seahawks
Ents
Record 7-0

Seattle re-take the 1st spot on our Power Rankings with a decisive victory against the Cardinals. With four interceptions on the day the Seahawks win 37-10. The Seahawks now turn their eyes toward Detroit as they travel to face the Lions this week. With no moves during the season for the Seahawks they seem very confident in their squad going into the later half of the season.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 4
2. (3) Cincinnati Bengals
Qroze
Record 7-0

The Bengals improve to 7-0 by beating the heavy favorites Broncos at Mile High! The final score was 33-24 even though Dalton threw no TDs and three INTs. In fact the Bengals lost the turnover battle 4-3 and manage to pull out the win anyways. A big help came from Gio Bernard who ran for over 210 yards on 17 carries. The Bengals now welcome the Cowboys to Cincinnati as they look to challenge the Seahawks for the #1 Spot on our Power Rankings.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 15
3. (4) Miami Dolphins
t_wells94
Record 7-0

The Dolphins win against the Bills at home 42-17 despite having both Tannehill & Wallace suspended! Even though the Miami FO told us that Freeman would get the start we all saw rookie signal-caller Blake Bortles take on the reigns for the game. He showed that he is very pro-ready by throwing for over 300 yards and three TDs. This week the Dolphins face off against the Browns who are coming off a bye. There are fans in Miami that wants Bortles to get the chance again as he was so successful, but this week Tannehill comes back and probably wants his job back. It's going to be interesting to see what Miami will do.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 16
4. (1) Minnesota Vikings
alonepants
Record 7-0

The Vikes sit tight on their bye week and as a result they drop a few spots in our Power Rankings. The Turmoil in Minnesota seems to be over as the Vikings fired their old coach and brought in a new one. He will have a lot to do to get the team on the same page, but he does have a 7-0 safety net to fall back on. It's going to be interesting if this coaching change was beneficial or detrimental to the team. I guess we'll find out in a couple of weeks. This week however the vikings head to Indianapolis as they look to bounce back in the Power Rankings.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 12
5. (7) Kansas City Chiefs
texasaggies2013
Record 6-1

KC Shows that their loss is forgotten as they overpower the Chargers 38-13. Defense has always been a big point for the Chiefs as they cause three turnovers this game. One big talking point is the QB situation as the Chiefs deal away their star safety Eric Berry & young QB Logan Thomas for the Patriots QB Tom Brady & safety Christian Thompson. Weeden threw for 7/7, 130yards and 1 TD last game and it'll be interesting if Weeden will still get to throw in KC, or if Brady will take over right away. The Chiefs face the Jaguars this week and on paper it should be a victory. Let's see who will get the start.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 21
6. (8) Philadelphia Eagles
Xedo19
Record 6-1

Philadelphia won at home against the Bucs 45-19 even though they lost the turnover battle 5-4. Foles had a good day despite his three interceptions as he amassed 249 yards and 4 TDs. It looks like the Eagles are drifting away from their running game with Shady McCoy and rely more on Nick Foles arm. This week the Eagles head to Washington in a divisional match up against the Redskins. It's an important game for Philly as they sit atop of NFC East and look to hold on.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 10
7. (9) Tennesse Titans
deuce1413
Record 6-1

Tennessee come out on top against the Jets as Luke Chatam throws for four TDs and 316 yards. It really was a QB battle as the Jets fielded their new acquisition, Cam Newton, who thre for 320 yards. Even though the Jets manage to take the ball away twice from the Titans, the Titans pull out the victory which shows the resilience and toughness of this team. It's going to be interesting to see if their winning ways continue further down the stretch. This week they face the slumping Bears and bar injuries it shouldn't be that hard to win at home.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 29
8. (5) Carolina Panthers
AllstaRF911
Record 6-1

The Panthers had their bye week which makes them fall in the Power Rankings. The bye week did not stop the Panthers from making moves however as they've overhauled big parts of their roster. Moves made are;

  • QB Switch Cam Newton for Geno Smith
  • Shipping Shipley & Golden Tate for Torrey Smith & Dwayne Bowe at WR
  • Dealing Munnerlyn & Amerson for Antonio Cromartie & Ladarius Webb to bolster the CB position
  • Sending away Donald Butler & Calvin Smith for Brian orakpo and CJ Mosley to strengthen the LB core

It's going to be interesting to see if the defending DB champs can do it again with all these moves when they face the Broncos this week.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 7
9. (6) Denver Broncos
zigzag
Record 6-2

The Broncos has dropped six spots in two weeks and it looks dire for the SB runner-ups. The Chiefs have now passed them in the AFC West and if they don't do anything they might be on a free-fall. They lost to the Bengals 24-33. Despite these two losses they sit 3rd in passing yards per game and 6th in total yards per game which makes us think that it's the dominant defense that hasn't shown up. This week the Broncos take on the deadly Panthers who have made a whole bunch of roster moves and are coming off a bye week. If the Broncos want to turn the ship around, they need to focus.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 17
10. (10) New England Patriots
Rox
Record 5-2

The Patriots lose their game to the Texans 28-30 but despite the loss they manage to hold on to the last spot in this weeks Power Rankings with teams now pushing to get into the Rankings. This week the Patriots take on the Bills by traveling to Buffalo. It's a must-win for the Patriots as they've now settled on a QB by dealing away Tom Brady to the Chiefs for safety Eric Berry. The comment from Bill Belichick after the recent trade was a short one: "We just hope he can come in and take it one day at a time. We believe everyone has to do their jobs and that includes Berry."

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings Empty Week 10

Post by Rox Sat Jun 07, 2014 9:16 am

Week 10

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 26
1. (1) Seattle Seahawks
Ents
Record 8-0

Seattle re-affirm their top spot with a victory against the lions 48-30. With three sacks and six INTs the Legion of Boom continue to show domination. With Beastmode and DeAnthony Thomas sharing the carries it looks like a success. This week the Seahawks take on the Vikings who just have switched coaches. It'll be interesting to see if the Vikings can keep up.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 4
2. (2) Cincinnati Bengals
Qroze
Record 8-0

The Bengals show strength by beating the cowboys 56-7. Andy Dalton threw for 496 yards and 6 TDs and his favorite target was Mike Evans who had all the 6 TDs and 200 yards receiving on the day. There have been some rumblings of PEDs in the league but there is no confirmation of anything yet. Nevertheless, the Bengals show that they are strong. This week they take on the Redskins.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 15
3. (3) Miami Dolphins
t_wells94
Record 8-0

Dolphins beat the Browns 28-24 in a game where Tanehill was the starter for the Dolphins. Some fans wanted to see Bortles again but Tanny responded with 354 yards passing on the day. He added 32 yards on the ground as well, complementing Lamar Miller who struggled on the day with 21 carries for 78 yards. He managed to get 3 TDs in the process though. This week Mike Wallace returns after his suspension so it'll be interesting how explosive the Miami offense will be when Wallace can stretch the field as they now take on the Titans.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 16
4. (4) Minnesota Vikings
alonepants
Record 8-0

Minnesota show that the coaching change wasn't a problem as they pull out a victory over the Colts 42-35. The Vikes sit tight on their bye week and as a result they drop a few spots in our Power Rankings. The Vikings seem to have employed a heavier passing game as AP struggled on the day and didn't break 100 yards rushing. With the offense of Alex Smith and AP it'll be interesting how they deal with the #1 Ranked team, Seattle Seahawks, this week.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 10
5. (7) Tennesse Titans
deuce1413
Record 7-1

The Titans win over the Bears 66-21 in a strong fashion in a game where the Tennessee defense intercepted Cutler five times and sacked him thrice. A troubling stat was Chris Johnson's three carries for 79 yards and 2 TDs. He didn't take the field much, did he get injured on one of the plays or did they just rest him and let Ahmad Bradshaw get the carries? After the game the coach didn't touch on the subject and we'll just have to see if he get's the start this week against the Miami Dolphins.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 21
6. (6) Philadelphia Eagles
Xedo19
Record 7-1

Philly win over the Redskins 28-17 in a game where good ball control and steady offense was the key. Even though the Eagles punt two times to the 'Skins one, they intercept RG3 twice and manage to pull off a victory. Ball security is key in Philadelphia and bundled together with a good defense they are a strong team. This week they take on the Cowboys at Jerryworld. Will Nick Foles show his skills again? He's already broken the 2k passing mark this season!

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 7
7. (9) Denver Broncos
zigzag
Record 7-2

The Broncos finally find that spark again and against the team they lost the Super Bowl to, no less! Broncos beat the Panthers 65-40 in a game where Manning threw 5 TDs and 4 INTs. The deal breaker this time was Jahvid Best's performance. Coming back after those concussions and rushing for 155 yards on 13 carries is a strong feat, especially against a strong team that Carolina fields. This week the Broncos have their bye week, a late bye, which should be good rest for the guys in Denver.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 17
8. (10) New England Patriots
Rox
Record 6-2

The Pats beat a Bills team in turmoil The Bills coaching staff forgot their clip boards at home and they had to call out plays from memory and without scouting. Yikes. The Patriots defense intercept EJ Manuel four times and sack him five. Bundle that together with JFF's 9/11 198yard 3TDs performance which earned him a perfect passer rating and the game was sealed. This week the Patriots take on the Steelers at home who sit at 1-7.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 12
9. (5) Kansas City Chiefs
texasaggies2013
Record 6-2

The Chiefs gets upset by the Jaguars in a close game 35-38. This means they drop in the Power Rankings. Their new acquisition Tom Brady threw for 221 yards, 2TDs and no INTs and Charles ran for 188 yards and three TDs. Despite this they lose. They outplayed the Jags in every department stat wise, but you have to commend the Jags. Maybe the missed FG from Succop was the deciding factor in this one. This week the Chiefs play the Chargers who are 2-6. Let's see if they can bounce back.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 29
10. (8) Carolina Panthers
AllstaRF911
Record 6-2

Carolina come back from their bye week and... lose. The highly anticipated Super Bowl re-match end in a 40-65 loss to the Broncos and they slide down in the Rankings because of it. We've seen a lot of trades for the Panthers and maybe it was just too much of an overhaul? Maybe all of the players couldn't learn the playbook and scheme in time. Geno Smith finishes the day with a sub 50% completion rate and the fans in Carolina are perplexed that they let their franchise QB go after tagging him this year. Now the Panther's have to re-collect themselves as they now take on the Giants who sit at 2-6 but are coming off a bye week.

Week 12

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 26
1. (1) Seattle Seahawks
Ents
Record 10-0

Seattle sit atop our Power Rankings still. They beat the Bills 48-3 in a rout. An interesting fact this time was Russell Wilson having to throw the ball. He amassed 344 yards on the day and three TDs with no INTs. The Seahawks have already won the NFC West and it's just a matter of seed for them now. This week a battle of the unbeatens are taking place as the Seahawks face the Dolphins in game in Miami. It's going to be interesting to see how it goes because we haven't seen many games between these teams in ELY.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 4
2. (2) Cincinnati Bengals
Qroze
Record 10-0

The Bengals beat the Browns 35-13 and they've now secured the division title this early on. It's going to be intersting how careful the Bengals will be with their starters heading into the final stretch of the season. Worth noting is that AJ green is hovering around the same yardage in receiving as Bernard has in rushing. This week Cincinnati heads to Philadelphia to play the Eagles. Let's see how much Dalton can throw for against the tough Philly D.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 15
3. (3) Miami Dolphins
t_wells94
Record 10-0

The Dolphins beat the Patriots in a very close 16-14 affair. The Dolphins now have a stranglehold of the AFC East as the Pats were the ones chasing. Lamar Miller got 20 carries on the day and rushing for 154 yards and a TD while the Miami defense held the patriots to almost no rushing at all. Great defensive showing between these two teams were the Dolphins had the edge. This week, however, the Dolphins have their toughest task yet as they are trying to knock off the #1 Ranked team, Seattle Seahawks. IT's going to be interesting to see who will come out on top as this is a rare match up. Can the 'fins topple the giant?

4. (4) Minnesota Vikings
alonepants
Record 9-1

Minnesota check in at number four on this week's Power Rankings as despite losing to the Seahawks they bounce back with a victory over San Fransisco. They won the turnover battle by intercepting Kaepernick two times on 43 attempts and playing safe with the ball on their own. AP had 120 yards rushing but no TDs. They are the clear leader in the division and only need one more win to clinch it. The Vikes now play the Jags this week while looking to clinch a playoff spot.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 29
5. (10) Carolina Panthers
AllstaRF911
Record 8-2

Carolina picks up the #5 spot in our Power Rankings as they beat the Eagles 65-55. Even though the Panthers give up five sacks and four turnovers they manage to pull out the victory. Geno Smith threw for 6TDs and 462 yards with 2 ints and we also got to see Matt Scott come on the field and throw 4/4 with a TD. The difference was on the ground were the Eagles couldn't get going while Barner had a good day, rushing for 185 yards. This wee the Panthers play the Falcons in an important divisional game.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 10
6. (5) Tennesse Titans
deuce1413
Record 8-2

The Titans win over the coachless packers 42-30 and have a commanding lead of the AFC South as a result. The Titans sit 2nd in points per game and top 10 in rushing yards & total yards per game. They're gonna have to keep it up in the final stretch as they now play the Lions in Detroit. The Lions come fresh off a victory but have a meager 4-6 record. We'll see if the flaming thumbtacks can prevail.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 7
7. (7) Denver Broncos
zigzag
Record 8-2

The Broncos come out on top 37-5 against the Raiders in a game which featured no turnovers or sacks at all! Pryor & Manning display quick releases, accuracy and luck. Peyton picks up 295 yards and three TDs on while going 25/33. The Broncos are fighting tooth & nail against the Chiefs in the AFC West divisional race as they both have the same amount of wins. It's going to be exciting to follow as the Broncos now go to Indianapolis to face the Colts this week.

[Divisional] Rox's ELY Power Rankings 12
8. (9) Kansas City Chiefs
texasaggies2013
Record 8-2

The Chiefs beat the Saints and now have won two straight. The aquisition of Tom Brady seems to have paid off as he goes for 215 yards and two TDs. No turnovers for KC is a plus as they intercept Jerrod Johnson once and sack him six times. It looks like the Chiefs' defense is as strong as ever! They are in a heated battle with the Broncos for the divisional title and it's going to be interesting to see who can go the distance! This week the Chiefs invite the Patriots and it should be an interesting bout which is important for both teams who are hunting a playoff berth.

Record 8-2

Philadelphia lose to the Panthers 55-65 in game that was a shootout. Nick Foles Played his heart out, throwing for 539 yards and 7 TDs. And despite the defense coming up big, Sacking Geno Smith five times, intercepting him twice and causing two fumbles, they could not come away with the victory. Good news is that the Eagles still lead the NFC East as they sit three game ahead of the Cowboys. This week the Eagles have another hard match up against the #2 Ranked team in the Rankings, the Cincinnati Bengals.

Record 7-3

The Patriots fall to the Dolhpins in an important match up where the running game could not take off as Ridley stays at 81 yards on 16 carries. Johnny football had his worst day yet, throwing for only 5/12, 73 yards and 3 INTs. Not good at all. The Patriots need to step up as they look for a playoff spot this year. They have an important match up coming up against the higher ranked Chiefs which is somewhat of a must win for both teams and if the Pats wish to keep their divisional title dreams alive they need to win.
