FIFA World Cup 2014
I'm going to fanatically watch the world cup in football (soccer as you guys call it) these next weeks and i thought i'd start a thread to see if there's anyone else of you that watches it.
Opener was today, good start although a real flop by Fred in the penalty box which swayed the game to Brazil's favor. Neymar with 2 goals but the best player on the pitch was easily Oscar. Kept on chugging all game, never gave up, didn't dive and got rewarded with a goal at the end.
It's going to be fun!

Re: FIFA World Cup 2014
I normally watch ever FIFA soccer game religiously. As I said in chat I missed this one, but I plan on watching the others.
This is the only time of year I actually enjoy watching Soccer.

Thought Brazil were outplayed in phases of the game, really hope refs don't favour them that much the rest of the tournament just cause they're hosts. Penalty decision was weak.

Wooow, fuckin' Spain. What a collapse. Granted Netherlands were the better team this day, but holy shit.

first ever goal scored by him in the team as well. first half was better than the 2nd when the US players got really tired and defended, but good job beating Ghana!

Goal of the tournament so far is the 1-1 goal from Tim Cahill from Australia vs Netherlands.

USA were 15 seconds away from securing a playoff spot!
