In a game that had quite a bit of hype coming in, the Titans made a statement against the Colts on their field beating them 31-21.

The story of the game was Andrew Luck's complete meltdown. His first pass of the game was picked off. While one would think it could only get better from there, sadly was not the case for the young phenom. He had multiple opportunities to put point on the board within enemy territory. Each time he drove his team into the end zone, it ended up in an interception. In the second quarter, he ran the ball for a gain of 5 yards. During the play he was injured and unable to return. He finished the day 5-10 for 57 yards and 3 INTS. Not exactly "Airing it out" as coach Rechter suggested before the game.

The wily veteran, Matt Hasselbeck stepped in and did a terrific job to keep the game close. The game was 14-0 when he took over. The halftime score was 17-7 after Matt lead the team down the field to score right before halftime. That provided a much needed spark as the Colts opened up the second half with a TD by Trent Richardson. Richardson took the ball on a 4th and inches pitch from just outside the 35 and ran it in for a Colts TD. With the score 17-14, the Titans never looked back as both teams traded touchdowns. The Colts had opportunities for turnovers, but were not able to capitalize.

The Titans would score two more TDs behind the excellent game of Bishop Sankey. Sankey finished with 200 yards rushing and 3 TDS. If you had him starting for you fantasy team, no doubt you had a successful week as well. He was without question the player of the game, and may well be the offensive player of the week.

The only bright spots for the Colts were the play of Trent Richardson and veteran back up QB Matt Hasselbeck. The Qb finished 14-24 for 187 yards and a TD. Richardson finished with 100 yards on 16 attempts and 2 TDs.

While this was a humbling loss for rookie coach, Justin Rechter, confidence is still high in the Colts locker room. Down 17-0, many teams would crumble especially after losing their starting QB. The fact that they were able to make this a game speaks highly of the future. It's a long season and they expect to turn things around from the 1-3 start.

The question remains - what does a game like this do to Andrew Luck's confidence? Luckily he will return next week against the Ravens. We will find out.
