Hey sorry to hear that man. We got hit pretty hard here but luckily I wasn't one of the 500,000 that lost power. Anyway, welcome back to the 21st century. We should probably be into the offseason by Monday.

Man, there is some cheap construction in the states. I remember when I lived there for two years, and when my grandfather who's a carpenter visited and went out for walks around the blocks he always stepped onto peoples lawns and checked the houses how they were built and he always complained about the insulation and bad construction material. It's like all houses NEED to have a lot of heat in the winter since the walls are so thin with no insulation etc.
I feel bad for you, because it'd suck to be powerless. However I'm happy you're back!

Just because you all live in igloos over there doesn't mean the US of A has cheap construction. You weren't visiting Detroit, were you? 'MURICA!

Just sayin'. I don't know about the rest of the US but I lived in New Jersey, 20 mins from NYC. And they sure couldn't build good housing there.
Or well, I shouldn't say "couldn't" since they probably just cheaped out and did the least amount possible. I lived there 15 years ago, but when I visited last summer there was no indication of better building.

Yea a lot of developments put up in the 80s in suburbia in general were just massed produced as cheaply and quickly as possible. Which is why some places have the same 2 or 3 housing plans repeated through the whole neighborhood.

Re: Return of the Eagles
yeah our apartment has terrible insulation, it was converted from a huge old house and the dumbass landlord just painted over a door thats in my bedroom. but insulation didn't matter too much when it was 10-20 degrees outside. all of the heavy snow and ice brought down a ton of trees and they keep catchin power lines on their way down. i was going to go home today but my brother texted me and told me that the power was off all morning again and came on around 3, so i decided to play it safe and i'm staying at my moms again, so please hit me up with a text or something if we head into the offseason, i'm sure i can do some stuff from my laptop if i need to.
