Bills defeat the Patriots

The Bills defeat the Patriots in the season opener 20-7. Fred Jackson steps in for an injured C.J. Spiller, earning 128 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries. E.J. Manuel throws for a measly 95 yards on 16 attempts. The Bills were able to sack Tom Brady 6 times, with Manny Lawson and Mario Williams each getting two sacks. Jairus Byrd and Aaron Williams contributed to the victory by each adding an interception. The Bills other touchdown came off of a 97 yard kick return by Marquise Goodwin. For the Patriots, Stevan Ridley had a monster game, with 12 yards on 3 carries. Tom Brady throws for a respectable 245 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions on 23 attempts. The Patriots were also able to sack E.J. Manuel 2 times in the game.

This is only the fourth time in the 2000s that the Bills have beat the Patriots either at home or away, nice job.
