Breaking News: Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie taking leave of absense
The owner of the Philadelphia Eagles, Jefferey Lurie has said that he will be taking a step away from the game. The successful owner refused to go into detail about the situation, but said he will be back eventually, but until then he will be leaving full control of the team to head coach Mike Ditka. Right now Mr. Lurie has not given a specific date as to when he'll be back, just saying it will be sometime next season. This may come as a shock to some since the Eagles are consistently one of the top teams in the league. Mr. Lurie states that it's not a huge issue and he feels confident that the best coach in the history of Philadelphia football can keep the momentum going.

The Patriots front office has let the league know that the joint Patriots-Eagles pre-season practice scheduled for next year is unfortunately no longer planned as they were a personal agreement between Mr. Kraft and Mr. Lurie. The Patriots are very saddened to hear about Mr. Lurie stepping down, but sincerely hope he will be back in time for next years' pre-season.
