Anyone got thoughts on what will happen to the Pats toward playoff time without Gronkowski?

I wouldn't be worried about them until playoff time since they're basically in the playoffs by default. Their offense minus Gronk is going to look pretty bad compared to most of the other teams:

Amendola

Edleman

Dobson

Thompkins

Hoomanawanui

Mulligan

Vereen

Ridley

Blount

Bolden

Brady

That offensive set was ranked somewhere in the mid 20s through the first however many games of the season without Gronk. Not a good bet to go scare anyone else in the playoffs...except for the Broncos since we can pretty much gather everyone on this site and score on them.

I don't imagine that they'll be quite so horrific come playoff time if only by the sheer will of Brady, but in any case they'll need their defense to step up big to help them have a chance to go deeper than the divisional round.

With the Patriots being my favorite team I am obviously going to be a bit biased here.

However, they have tons of weapons that have emerged, and the offense is still clicking without Gronk (4th Quarter of Browns game). We've got Vereen with 8 catches per game, Ridley is amazing when he doesnt fumble, Amendola is slowly getting back into form, Edelman is white hot and Kenbrell and Dobson are more comfortable in the offense. Blount has had a solid year, hell even Austin Collie has seen some action.

Everyone on this offense contributes whether it's a third string TE or the first FB on the team in years. I have complete confidence in them and Bill will always manage to cook up a good gameplan with the personnel he has.

Gronk Sad(((
I really hope he doesn't become one of those "what if" players, I mean the man have had his fair share of injuries now. Fingers crossed for him.

Anyhow, seeing as thy are injured when we get Dobson & Thompkins back I think it'll be better since they had the first games of the season to get settled and they've looked great in flashes ever since, they both are nursing injuries and I hope they can return.

Boyce looked great in the 2nd half of the last game, showed why he was drafted.

I would very much say that the offense is weaker without gronk, but pats always find people to fill roles, just look at Develin. A DE from brown turned FB had a few catches against Texans and also ran it for the bullheaded TD.

Edelman
Amendola
Dobson
Boyce
Thompkins

Could shape up to be a good WR corps however, we are now weak at TE sine Hooman is injured and Mulligan is pretty average at best.
