Trading Regulations Empty Trading Regulations

CPU Trading:

CPU trading is allowed to a degree, but it is in no way allowed in a sweeping fashion. NO "Stars" from teams will be traded, period. I.E. the 49ers are open, you aren't getting Kaepernickle.

"Star" status is officially determined by Rox, if he considers the player on the team you want a star the above regulation applies and you start looking for a new opportunity.

All CPU trades must be posted in the Trade Centre for review. Review can take a number of days and possibly a full advance cycle, so be patient while waiting for judgement.

User Trading:

All User+User trades must be posted in the Trade Centre for review similarly to the CPU trades. Review can take a number of days and possibly a full advance cycle, so be patient while waiting for judgement.

Both parties must accept a trade for the trade to be considered "officially". The person who posts the thread automatically "agrees", but the other party in the deal must now post something to the effect of: "I agree", "Sure", etc.
Posting the thread or the comment in reply is the only way to get your trade eventually approved or denied.

Once the trade has been approved you will have until the end of the next league week to complete the trade; If you fail to do so your team will be fined a random starter being benched in addition to whatever players involved in the deal being relegated to special teams status.

Remember that for a trade to be completed both teams must either have played their game or not played their game for the week. Easier visualized like this:

Madden won't let you trade if both teams trying to trade doesn't match each others "played" criteria:
-Team 1Team 2
Have Not Played
X
Can't Trade!
Have Played
X

-Team 1Team 2
Have Not Played
X
Can't Trade!
Have Played
X

-Team 1Team 2
Have Not Played
X
X
Can Trade!
Have Played

-Team 1Team 2
Have Not Played
Have Played
X
X
Can Trade!

Therefore if you and your partner are trying to get your trade in, either do it before you play your games or do it after you both have played. Otherwise madden will auto-deny the trade when you try to accept. If you and your trade partner find yourselves in this situation, send the trade and accept it when the other guy has played their game.

Other reasons for trades not going through on madden include:

  • One team doesn't have the roster space.
              - Release players until you can fit all the players in the trade.
  • One team doesn't have the required salary cap space.
              - Release players until you can fit all the players under the cap. Make sure you free up money, check salaries first!
              - This also includes if you trade for picks and get a high pick the rookie reserve will take a chunk out of your cap.

If you did not complete the trade for real life reasons you may appeal this to Rox or Tony, but there will be no other reasoning accepted for the delay.

If it is nearing the deadline and there is no resolution feel free to contact Rox or Tony to step in; If we ourselves can not make contact with your trade partner in an appropriate time you will be indemnified for this by not losing a random starter should the deadline come to pass.

How to post a trade

You may post in whatever manner you choose when posting a trade, but try to make it as clear as possible. Here is a guideline that will make sure that you get the quickest decision made possible;

The Vikings trades:
HB Adrian Peterson
ROLB Anthony Barr
2nd round pick 2015

The Broncos trades:
1st round pick 2015
1st round pick 2016
QB Peyton Manning
FS Rahim Moore

Posting it clear, with positions will expedite your trade ruling as quick as possible.

Final notes:
As always, if you have any questions or comments about trades or the trading regulations, or if you find any mistakes or the like don't hesitate to ask Tony or Rox.
