[Bathroom Reading] New York Jets Journal
[Bathroom Reading] New York Jets Journal
In one of the biggest announcements in Jetsland or ELY in general, just prior to the start of the regular season, longtime Jets owner Woody Johnson sold the New York Jets for an record 2.3 billion dollars to Huebert Cook, a Canadian cattle man and oil baron. After paying the lofty sum to gain entrance into the exclusive club that is EveryLittleYard, Cook took off on a tour to meet the fans to express how he was excited to own the team and looked forward to winning times ahead. During this tour, Cook also made waves by confirming that he has resigned Coach Ryan, who was looking at an expiring contract at season's end, to a 10 year deal. In addition to managing the teams on Sunday, Coach Ryan will see an increased role in the team, now helping to handle all day to operations with his new boss. Big changes have come to New York, let's see how they turn out!

Week 1:
Oakland Raiders @ New York Jets
Quarter 1st 2nd 3rd 4th Total
Raiders 7 7 0 10 24
Jets 0 10 3 0 13
The Jets fought hard, but in the end they were faced with a tough home loss on opening day loss to the Raiders. It was a good all-around game with both teams playing some exciting football for 60 full minutes.
Coach Ryan was quoted after the game saying: " The defense played well forcing the Raiders into throwing two interceptions caught by by [MLB] Harris, but we still need to get more pressure on the QB consistently to win next week."
On offense, QB Smith had a rather forgettable day tallying 19/25 251 yards and 1 interception and 1 fumble in 3rd quarter. The fumble in particular was a real impediment to the team's late game attempt to win the game as it took place was at the Raiders' 35 as Jets where driving down the field.
Next week's games find the Jets traveling to Green Bay to take on the Packers.

league
Hey, just would like to apologize for all missed games, just busy working and family stuff.
Haven't won a game yet, but having fun trying. Would like to thank all league members for letting participate in this league, one of the best leagues around. Also every human opponent has been a fair player and not one game i have played has any opponent run up the score or use cheesy plays to beat me, i really appreciate that.
Anyways Jets on a bye week and looking forward to game Vs Bills at Orchard Park.
Good Luck All Huey
